I wanted to share my experience with Haygate veterinary centre after my recent experience. Our dog was taken into Haygate on the bank holiday weekend, for emergency treatment. I was on holiday at the time so was communicating directly with the vet treating our dog via WhatsApp calls. The vet was also fully aware I was on holiday at the time. The vet her self, was amazing. I unfortunately can't remember her name! 🤦‍♂️ She did absolutely everything possible to save our girl but unfortunately she crossed the rainbow bridge. I arranged for her cremation there and then and presumed I would settle the bill on Collection of ashes, id already paid a deposit of £500 upfront. After a few days I got my invoice through on email, as they were aware I was on holiday and didn't have access to transfering 1000s of pounds from where I was in the world so I dropped a message on WhatsApp (where I had previously been in contact) and had absolutely no reply, I asked if It was ok to transfer when I was back in UK but got no response and as I had no phone signal I couldnt call so left it at that. They then proceeded to call me multiple times knowing full well I was abroad and had no phone signal (I just got notificatios of missed calls), leave me messages and send me "first level letters" via email. I think the lack of dignity of service from whoever deals with billing was a massive let down from what was a previously highly respectable, perfect, service from the vet we was dealing with. Once I replied to these email letters explaining I've tried to get in touch on WhatsApp and had no reply all I got was a very short message telling me to call Monday to pay over the phone.
Overall the service from the vet in my experience was very good, very dignified, very informative and just perfect service. However the experience that followed in the next few days very much put a sour taste in my mouth. For this reason I wouldn't return to this vet practice personally.

Many thanks to the entire team for the service we have received today.
My dog was in pain today with her back, I couldn’t get an appointment to my local branch but the receptionist did everything to get me an appointment as soon as possible and we got one at Wellington branch.
Here my dog was treated with care ❤️
Michelle was absolutely golden with my dog, very attentive and explained us what was wrong with Tula and she took her time examining her .
The treatment that was recommended worked well for my dog , and now we are all seating together on the sofa with no more pain and discomfort for Tula and no more worries for us .
Many many thanks to you all for doing such an amazing job .

More than once we’ve had a difficult decision to make about a pet, and different vets at this practice have been patient and kind, they even call to discuss things if they think it’s needed (and you don’t feel like they’re in a hurry). We trust them to do the right thing for the pet and for the family.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Haygate. All of the wonderful nursing team who cared for our dog Ruby from her early years through to her last breath aged 13. A special mention for Paulina, (Ruby’s main vet) and Kasia for their emotional support through Ruby’s last hours.
All of the vets, no matter who or when, had Ruby’s well being as their only concern, and always left us feeling secure with their knowledge and understanding of our dogs needs.
