Absolutely appauling, I will never go here again.reception staff are miserable and dont even acknowledge your presence. Took my little dog into the female vet who was as friendly as a brick...she asked the problem and was just about to look at the dog when I explained I had taken her to greens vets once and they misdiagnosed her eye the vet said I cant see her as you need to get greens to sent her history to us as its the law...absolute bull****, my dog was in pain and vets by their ethical rights should see every animal no matter what....I walked out and went to White Cross in handsworth and they saw her straight away. Springfield is just another vets thats been bought up and turned into a cash cow, no empathy or sympathy just a cash cow....dont take your loved pet here they are appaulung

I have been a loyal customer of Springfield Vets for over 30yrs. Initially it was an independent but then became part of the CVS Group in 2006.
The practice has looked after 4 generations of my dogs which has covered everything from puppy training, healthy pet plans, annual check ups, operations etc.
Unfortunately over the last 5 years as a customer l have gradually felt more undervalued, have felt more like a cash cow with ever increasing eye watering bills, and the service l have received has become totally impersonal served by a revolving door of vets and reception staff that appear fed up & underpaid.
The end result is l have become absolutely fed up with the practice and have switched to another vet Harrison’s at Mosborough.
What a difference they fully explained their bills which are cheaper than Springfield, the staff are friendly & offer treats and toys to my dogs while waiting.
They also have superb modern facilities and even have a free vidi vet service if your pet becomes ill out of the practices opening hours
After over 30yrs of being a loyal customer you would think Springfield would be concerned about loosing a good customer with two dogs and do their best to retain our business.
They could not care less and showed no interest in loosing customers.
Thank God the government is currently passing legislation to regulate vets and their charging structures including a separate Ombudsmen to appeal disputes to.
My advice to any customers with pets is avoid the large veterinary groups like the plague, don’t put up with high bills & poor service and switch to local independent practices who quite often are cheaper and offer a more personal service.

Big thank you to James the vet❤️we took our hamster Bear to him due to some balding on her fur, and he treat both us and Bear with the utmost respect and kindness. You can really tell he cares about his patients. If you need a vet that is good with small animals, James is the one to go to!
Thanks so much❤️

Excellent surgeons. Nurse accused me of my puppy not being properly trained on its only second visit to vets , in front of the receptionists and other dog owners. My dog is very well socialised with people and other dogs . My dog was in pain and with strangers. Never been to that vet before. So you should be used and trained to work with distressed animals rather than passing the blame . Brilliant friendly receptionists and surgeon.
In response to your email your team know exactly who.i am. Using heavy plant machines in the car while you were still open.. That is a breach of health and safety regulations. And when I went to your vets in Ecclesfield 2 days later where the nurse said my dog wasn't misbehaving or badly trained. But I literally had to ask the machine operative to raise the boom so I could enter.
You are not allowed to do this . Its against regs for very good reason.
So I would like an apology from your nurse for the way she talked to me in public.
