Today I visited the Lowestoft store with my partner in search of a solution for our cat who has taken to spraying randomly, not really knowing what we required. I approached a young blonde assistant who whilst being polite had little idea. Eventually I see some Felway diffusers, I then asked again if the box I was pointing to was the refills she replied yes, I also asked if there were two available she replied there were three in stock and to take the dummy boxes to the checkout , I thanked her
On arriving at the checkout we were greeted by the cashier, black tee shirt , tattoos on his arm. I asked for two diffusers and one box of refills. He said the refills wasn’t the one for the diffusers despite I being told otherwise by the assistant. I said she has mislead us, he snapped back at me say ing it’s only her second day! As if it was my fault! He then said they didn’t have stock of the diffusers despite me being told otherwise, or the refills.
At this point I wasn’t pleased with him, his attitude and the fact he seemed aloof. I pointed out it the incompetence. He offered no apology and in a smarmy manner told me to Have a nice day. Turned his back on me and said piss off.
I understand errors happen it’s life, but having an assistant on the shop floor with no clear training who could be given out advice without seeking assistance. It could’ve been an item that can cause further problems for the animal. Not acceptable
As for the guy on the checkout, his total arrogance and making out I shouldn’t be complaining about a staff member who has only been in the business two days and then tell me to P off under his breath again not acceptable.
Up until today I had good service at Pets At Home, unfortunately today has changed that outlook

I will literally never go in ever again. The girl with beach blonde hair and dark dramatic eyeliner is just awful. SO rude, bad attitude and awful customer service. The other till staff just seem clueless and speak to you like you’re an idiot or ignore/grunt at you. Yarmouth is alot better!
