Gemma and all of the staff at Battle Flatts were very kind and helpful. We only recently got guinea pigs and they gave us lots of helpful advice as well as treatment for their respiratory illness.

Been going to Battle Flatts with pet rats for a few years now. It can be expensive, but as an exotic vet the quality of care and expertise they have is invaluable - many other vets we've talked to have said anything more complex they'd refer to Battle Flatts for anyway! Sometimes they can get a bit swamped with emergencies, but they're usually pretty good at letting you know (especially over the last few months), and when you do get seen the vets are incredible and willing to take the time. Getting post-op nurse follow ups included in the price of initial surgery is nice, but I can imagine if you're a bit tight on money you might prefer if you didn't pay upfront. The only significant downside is that the crematorium they recommend is very expensive! Our first pet loss we sent there for a quite pricey mixed cremation, only to learn before our next one that there's a really good local one in York that's actually cheaper. Other than that one initial disappointment a few years ago, we've only ever got the best treatment from Battle Flatts!

My senegal parrot was seen by Hannah due to a fungus being found in a sample and needing blood work doing. Bloods were done on a Friday and I was rang with results on Monday. The care received by Hannah and her team at Battleflats was exemplary as always, as Zuri required a small anaesthetic. Everything was explained thoroughly and i knew Zuri was in the very best of hands as Hannahs knowledge in the avian field is second to none. We are so grateful. Thank you!!!!!

Cannot fault the care and attention at Battle Flatts. Many years ago found that vets can sometimes be dismissive of cats, but not Mark, he has taken such a care to Bunty and thank goodness he did! She was proper poorly and Mark sorted her out. She now has to go have some teeth sorted and I know she will be in the best hands! Thank you also to reception staff Donna and Ruth for caring and looking after me! Never had a bad visit with this team in 6 years.
