- KWkeith WorrallAug 20, 20261.0Our cockapoo developed a sore paw over the weekend so we contacted Ayers vets on the Sunday. They said we could bring him in but would charge £270 for the privilege. We couldn’t get an appointment for Monday but managed to get him in on Tuesday. The vet couldn’t examine him so sent us away with tramadol and gabapentin and told us to return on Wednesday and a bill for £108. We returned on Wednesday and they still couldn’t examine him and was told to return on Thursday for him to be sedated. We were advised that that this would cost upwards of £700. When I eventually came round and picked myself up off the floor. I walked out in a state of shock and we are now looking for a new vet. I would love to know where they get their prices from? Absolute banditry.
