Went in 5 days ago and brought some cat litter. I wasn't asked if I wanted a receipt by the lady that served me. Unfortunately my cat passed away the day after having her for 18 years. I've not used the litter and it's still in the conditioner I left the store with it in. Today I've tried to return the litter as i have no other cats and do not need it but pets at home have told me I can't. First of all, the pets at home store closest to me wouldn't accept it because I didn't buy it from there, they told me I needed to take it back to the store where I brought it from they would find it on the system with the VIP pet card that I use to buy the purchase. When I checked their store they have the exact same litter on the shelf. So then I've wasted time going back to the original store I brought it from. When I've spoken with them they have said there and without a receipt there's nothing they can do they won't accept the VIP purchase as proof. So now I'm left with a cat litter that I don't need.

We came into the Mansfield store at the weekend and were lucky enough to be helped by Jess Clark. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish.
We ended up leaving with three hamsters, and Jess took so much time with us to make sure we had absolutely everything they needed. She worked through a checklist, explained everything in detail, and never once made us feel rushed.
What really stood out was how patient and kind she was with my children. She took the time to explain everything to them, answered all of their questions, and made sure they understood how to properly care for our new pets. You could tell she genuinely cares about the animals and wants them to go to the best possible homes.
Jess is an absolute credit to the Mansfield store. Her knowledge, professionalism, and caring attitude made the whole experience enjoyable, and we left feeling confident that we were giving our hamsters the best start. Thank you so much, Jess—we really appreciated everything you did!

Fantastic first time in with the puppy, they made him feel welcome with a little treat but without overwhelming him with fusses. The prices are ok but the offers are what make us go back. We tried the Sutton in Ashfield one and they seem to have a lot less variety/stock in.

Came in this evening to get some advice on gerbils, with the intention of eventually buying one. The loveliest lady was incredibly knowledgeable and walked us through everything, from what we’d need, to treats, to proper care. She was so patient and genuinely helpful.
We ended up leaving fully equipped with two gerbils and feeling really confident—thanks to her! The rest of the staff we encountered were also very friendly and helpful.
Thank you so much, couldn’t recommend this place more!
