I had an absolutely lovely experience in this store with a welcoming staff member called George. I’m not from London but am here visiting a ferret owner. I went in to buy a harness and straight away as I was walking around the store looking bewildered and disappointed looking for staff he acknowledged that I needed help. Sometimes you really have to try and get the staffs attention when out shopping but this wasn’t the case. I was so delighted because he took me straight to what I needed. I’d been looking in the wrong section at the dog harnesses. Then asked if I needed anymore help and told me to keep the receipt. I was so happy to come away with the product I wanted and to have had a great, supportive shopping experience. George is a credit to Pets at Home. I noticed other customers saying bye to him and the other staff. What a lovely vibe in the store that many other brands could learn from.

I recently adopted a syrian hamster from Pets at home. I can not express in words how beautiful and helpful people have been there. I sadly do not know the name of the lady bit the woman with Pink hair, and the girl named Diya, both of them were extremely helpful during the whole process. I had absolutely no idea about hamsters and I was adopting one for the first time. If is a female hamster named Gryzly, I've changed her name to Luna.. and Luna's been home 3 and a half day and she's already getting used to it. I simply can not express how happy I feel with luna. Thank you Pets at home for making it possible for me to have my little babygirl

I visited this Pets at Home to look at the fish and get inspiration for my new aquarium. Unfortunately, several tanks were dirty, and one tank had two dead fish at the bottom while another fish was visibly dying.
I informed a member of staff, a woman with long brown hair and glasses, but she seemed completely unbothered. She didn’t come to look at the tank or show any concern, simply saying, “Thanks for letting us know, we’ll have a look at it,” while walking away and putting items on a shelf.
The whole interaction felt rude and dismissive, especially considering this is a pet store where animal welfare should be a priority. I left the store feeling very upset.

Staff working there are super friendly, good quality products and good deals, you’ll be able to find anything pet related.
but the security guard will watch and follow any person of colour that comes into the store. once i thought he wasn’t working but he was just following a black couple until he saw me and then stood watching at me while i paid for cat litter at the tills.
i have paid for everything i’ve bought there, and the staff know me there, but every time i walk in he jumps awake and watches me down every isle. no matter if im wearing a jacket, wearing t shirt and shorts or just waiting for my partner(white) to be done admiring the rabbits he’ll be starring straight at me.
it’s pathetic and uncomfortable, especially from a poc himself, i will not return to this shop and i recommend poc to go to a different branch.
