We brought our Pug to Barton last night after a terrible experience at another vet. Sadly, she was extremely unwell and deteriorated very quickly.
Vet George welcomed us without hesitation and showed incredible kindness, empathy and compassion throughout. Despite the team doing everything they could, including CPR, sadly she could not be saved.
We were absolutely heartbroken, and our son and daughter were also extremely distressed after attempting CPR on the way to the practice. We were out of the country at the time and felt completely powerless, but we managed to get the earliest flight home and were allowed to visit her this morning.
The receptionist, nurse, George and everyone involved were incredibly caring and supportive. They provided us with paw prints and hair cuttings and have kindly kept her at the practice until she can be collected.
We cannot thank Barton and especially George enough for making such an awful and heartbreaking experience that little bit easier.
We have now registered our remaining three dogs and our cat with Barton because we know their welfare and best interests will always come first.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

We had to rush our precious Max into Barton vets as an emergency as there were no apps at our usual practice. The vet, Katie, was fantastic, very calm and so caring. The two nurse practices Carly and Sarah treated our boy like a Prince and gave him such exceptional care. He is hopefully on the mend and whilst the cost was not our priority, the actual price was very fair. I cannot recommend this practice more highly. Thank you from us and Max!

Our little Dachshund had a seizure at 130am on the 6th of July and we contacted the emergency vet line and told a nurse I what our poor dog had suffered. We arrived at the vets at about 2am and waited ! They seemed to be very busy . After a while we saw the vet ‘ George ‘ who although was busy gave us the time to explain what had happened to Sid our dog. We went in with him to have an ultra sound and that seemed to be fine. By that time Sid was a little better but due to time and the vet being very busy at 4am went home with Sid who then had another seizure at 630am we phone George and explained that we had given him the Enimas he provided. Sid settled and went to his own vet early that day. Bloods taken all clear but could be neurological. The point is that George was a very kind and considerate vet. I’m not going to moan about the charge because our Sid is worth every penny ! Thank you , George! PS please tell George that some of his sight came back and he’s not bumping into furniture anymore !🙂

It says it is 24 hours but when I tried to call at 19:44pm on the 28/06/2026 it kept telling me the vet was closed. I have a lifeless 15 week old puppy who I needed help with. I am new to the area, have lived here for 6 weeks so I felt so lost. I managed to get to a vet’s 30 minutes away but by time I got there it was too late and she passed away. Maybe if I could of got hold of someone here she would of survived. (You’re only a 5 minute drive from me)
