  This is the WORST vets I have ever been to. I brung my guinea pig here, as she was in labour and visibly struggling to deliver the babies. I took her to the out of hours vets, to which they already charged through the earth as it was out of hours. I then was told my poor baby would need a c section as she just was not delivering the babies naturally, and was in a fair bit of discomfort. They wanted £2000 for this, asking for £1000 up front, before they even considered helping her. I could not afford this amount whatsoever, so the only option was to have her put to sleep unfortunately? Which I sadly had to go ahead with. Prior to me arriving at the vets, I explained I would need help with the payment (ie a payment plan etc) to which, they said this is something they could do/offer. I was then asked for the full amount upon exit, which I explained I could not afford, and this was explained on the phone. The lady then said “can you do even £20” to which I said I could, but would have to ask my mum, which my mum had none of her belongings as we was in a rush to get to the vets, and I myself had no way of paying either. They accepted this and handed me a card with their payment details on it saying, I quote “If there is any delay in payment, we will contact you tomorrow” no “sorry for your loss” just cold heartedness. I’m now being chased for a nearly £300 bill and being told “we don’t offer payment plans” well that sure changed quickly from being able to offer me a payment plan to now not. I even received a “with sympathy card” I assumed to try and urge me to pay this money, because I then received a very COLD email. These people are after one thing, and that’s your MONEY. Avoid at all costs.

  Let my dog die and the vet constantly ignoring me as I tried to explain the seizures of my dog and he was so hyper fixated on her teeth that he ignored us and went on a bout dental care then paid £300 for dental care and she didn’t even make it to the vet appointment died 4 days before and we didn’t even get all the money back absolutely disgusting do not sign up to this vet would give 0 stars if I could

  Appalled at the service from a particular vet when our baby was put to sleep unexpectedly. Sat tapping the syringe of drugs whilst we were saying goodbye and wrapped our baby in a plastic sheet afterwards and swept him away before we had even left the room. What was already a horrific time made even more horrific by the manner and attitude of this vet and less than 48 hours after being put to sleep, i had a call asking for payment! Very unempathetic and uncaring. Will definitely not be using pet doctors again. If you want your pets to be loved and well cared for, this isn't the vet to go to.

  The vet cares more about getting your money than treating your pet I took my dog in as I thought she may have eaten something which may have caused a blockage inside the vet looked at her for not even 5 minutes poking her stomach and decided that he needed to put my dog to sleep and do a surgery cutting her stomach open and it was going to cost £4,000 minimum and wanted a payment of £2,000 upfront before he would do anything so I took her to the peoples vet on sandy lane where they took a look at her and found she had something stuck in her throat not her stomach and they said that if the vet at pet doctors Newport had put my dog to sleep she would have died when there was no need for her to even be having her stomach cut open in the first place if the vet at pet doctors had actually bothered to examine my dog correctly in the first place he would have realised it was very obvious the blockage was in her throat not her stomach pet doctors care more about getting as much money as possible out of you than they do about the animals they are treating
