  I only registered my cats with Animed a few months ago, having transferred them from another vet. I have to say that I have had mixed experiences here. On some visits, I have felt confident in the vet's expertise, but on other visits, not so much. It really does seem to depend on which vet you see, what kind of experience you will have. The reason I joined Animed was because they have the Shedfield hospital, offering more in-house facilities than smaller vet practices. However, I recently had to take one of my cats there after she was attacked (sadly by a human) and suffered blunt force trauma to the face and head. Her injuries did not look pleasant at all and we were beside ourselves. But the vet we saw seemed very un-confident. Even her general handling of my (very docile) cat was limp and shaky and she was very vague in her communication. She certainly did not have a reassuring manner towards 2 very distressed cat parents. I was also quite shocked that, given the nature of my cat's injuries, and the facilities at her disposal, that she didn't suggest an x-ray or any further investigation other than the cursory glance and unnecessary thermometer probing. I also had another iffy experience where I paid £150 for a misdiagnosis and unnecessary medication, when the vet could (and probably should) have recognised that my cat simply had a cold (I had no idea as never had a cat with a cold before, but I realised it when all of my other cats subsequently came down with it too) On the more positive side, some of the vets are great. Louise is particularly amazing, and her surgical skills are fantastic! (She has spayed 3 of my female cats). The jury is still out on whether moving my cats to Animed was the right move, as it does feel that they could be amazing, but aren't quite hitting the mark

  These Vets are fantastic. Our nervous little boy is always calm when he’s with them and they do a fantastic job. We had another checkup recently and it went very well. Can’t fault this place at all!

  I can't praise the staff enough... even tho for me it was a very hard time to lose my beautiful dog 🐕 roo roo... they was all very kind... my only niggle was that we all have to pay to put our loved pets to sleep.... I just wish she could of been put on the table so I could look her in the eyes as I suffer from severe arthritis and I could not get down to her... a little more training and consideration maybe in hard times for owners.... I have mixed feelings and questions... yes... but overall the staff and vet are lovely people... thank you for helping my poor roo roo.. r.i.p roo... im missing you like crazy 💔... she was an absolute amazing dog... 12 year of my life it was a honour to have her in my life ❤️
