I have been coming here with my pets since I was a child. It used to be the independent practise of Mike Cave (who is now a family friend) who was a brilliant vet.
The current vets here are lovely and kind and everyone is very friendly….
However all good things must end, and Archway (now CVS) has been taken over by a large corporate vet group who are charging surely some of the highest prices in the country. I was quoted £1107 for a single tooth dental for my cat who has no previous health issues, as well as an additional £400 blood test just to be prescribed some arthritis medicine. The consultations are £100 alone. I enquired about a payment plan at this totals to more than my monthly salary and received no response which I took to be a no.
I have now moved to another vet with a good reputation who charges HALF the price of this. Very sad that this has happened, not to mention unethical for the animals’ wellbeing. It is a good thing Petersfield is a generally wealthy area…

Michael Cave was brilliant, unfortunately since he retired and the new company took over it's never been the same over priced and a rip off, unable to justify their prices. Avoid at all costs.
