- KGKate GarlingeNov 21, 20205.0Pet Doctors in Botley were recommended to me by a friend after we had concerns that our new dachshund puppy had some hearing issues. For the record - we had registered with a vets nearer to our home (in Southampton City centre) but when we called them about our concerns they were very dismissive and unwilling to help, and mentioned several times that they were "too busy". I would like to thank Claire on reception in particular for listening to my concerns and doing what she could to help. I booked in to have a puppy health check later that week which was very convenient. Unfortunately it was confirmed that our pup is almost completely deaf, the vet was very kind and professional (I am so sorry I can't remember your name but you are wonderful!) But offered to refer us if we wanted any further testing. I was devastated of course, but I was expecting the news. I was particularly touched when Claire got in contact a week later to see how we all were. This meant so much to me considering two other vets in Southampton weren't willing to help us at all. So to summarise - if you are in the Southampton area, even if not near Botley/Hedge End, I would 100% recommend Pet Doctors. The service and kindness we recieved were phenomenal and I am forever grateful. Well done if you read this essay to the end!! 😊
