I've had two hamsters in the last 20 months, and both have had unexplained illnesses.
After researching I discovered many other people have had small animals (rodents) from pets at home unexpectedly pass, in a short time period.
I followed all the recommended guidelines, my Syrians cage is around 4 ft, and filled with sprays, hides, bedding, water, ceramics, ect..
yet today, my 2 month old hamster unexpectedly passed, in a very similar way to many other people's hamsters from PAH.
I feel that these links in youth hamster deaths are connected to PAH, and I urge everyone to have their rodents checked by a professional.
Offering a "new hamster" as PAH would often do to others, will not fix this.
Our boy was so loved, and was lost far too soon.

Terribly rude staff.
Online says in stock collect within 1 hour.
Order and pay turn up the next day to collect they have stock on the shelfs and get told cant complete your click and collect as it's been ordered into store. I take the stock off the shelf and show them this is what I've ordered and at the time I placed the order (Yesterday) I was told 1 hour collection.
Supervisor came to assist. Rude. Embarrassing infront of other customers to be treated like a thief when only trying to collect a click and collect order that was in stock. Won't be using this store ever again. My usual is the Cardiff store and they are always so kind, helpful and organised, click and collect always ready within 20 mins. Always issues at the Gloucester store with their stock and staff being rude. Won't be back. Have put in a complaint to head office. Simple rule of business just be nice to customers 🤣 having spent hundreds with pets at home the past 4 weeks for our new puppy and thousands over the past 20 years with previous pets we won't be back again after this experience. Will use Jolleys, Pets corner or even Amazon Prime.
