I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this veterinary practice.
I initially took my dog in because he was constantly scratching his ear. He was given medication and I was told that I would need to bring him back for a follow-up appointment to have his ear checked.
At the follow-up appointment, I was kept waiting for more than 20 minutes. When we finally went into the consultation room, the vet spent less than five minutes checking my dog. Despite this, I was charged £60 for the appointment.
What I find particularly frustrating is that I was told from the beginning that I needed to come back for a check-up, even though my dog had already been given treatment. It honestly left me feeling as though the follow-up appointment was simply an opportunity to charge me another £60. I feel completely taken advantage of.
When you take your pet to the vet because they are unwell, you expect to pay for proper veterinary care and treatment. If a follow-up is genuinely medically necessary, of course I understand the need for it. However, in this case, the appointment felt completely unnecessary, especially considering how little time was actually spent examining my dog.
I understand that veterinary practices are businesses, but there is a difference between charging appropriately for a service and making clients feel that unnecessary appointments are being recommended simply to generate more money.
For me, this experience felt like a complete rip-off and a waste of £60. I left feeling frustrated, disappointed and, most importantly, misled.
If you have the option, I would strongly recommend considering another veterinary practice. I certainly will be.

I have two pets that go to alba vets for about 7 years and It came to me that there should be a loyalty card for how many years your pet has gone to this amazing vets meaning that you get ten pounds of the next time you go but you have to have a certain amount of points.
