I went to buy a bigger crate as my dog has just had an operation and is crate bound for 8 weeks. I cannot praise the help I received enough. It was brilliant. OWEN came to assist me, and he was amazing. Nothing too much for him. He showed me the bigger crate and put it up for me so I could see the size, he then offered to put up the even bigger crate to compare, but I’d decided the one he had put up was the best size. He answered all my queries patiently, he was polite and friendly, and then helped me find the bedding needed. He actually had put the crate back in the box before the bedding was chosen, but then got it out again, and rebuilt it to see what bedding fitted the best. After I’d paid, he carried it all to my car and put it in for me.
I hope he gets some recognition from Pets at Home, because he really DID make the experience so much easier, and I would recommend anyone to ask for Owen in the Darlington shop, if they want a good and informative shopping experience.

I hope Trisha reads this comment, this lady went above and beyond. I was looking to put my dog on a chicken free diet because of periodic bad stomach. Trisha was so very helpful and knowledgeable. My dog is so much better evan after just a short time. Thank you.

Pets at Home is a solid all-round pet shop with pretty much everything you need under one roof — food, toys, bedding, and more. Staff are usually helpful and it’s very convenient.
Downside is prices can be a bit steep compared to online or discount stores, so you’re paying for ease and convenience.
