  The lady at reception was lovely, and the rest of the staff were also very polite. However, the prices for treatments were absolutely outrageous and disgustingly high, even for an emergency appointment. Our cat had a torn paw pad, was bleeding and was clearly in pain. The vet quoted us £900 to stitch the wound. My husband was absolutely shocked and asked for a dressing, antibiotics and pain relief to help our cat get through until Monday. We paid £300. Our regular vet was extremely surprised when we told him about the cost and the proposed stitches. He explained that the wound did not require stitching and that the damaged part of the paw pad needed to be removed because it was already beyond saving. We are extremely disappointed, as we were left with the impression that an attempt was being made to charge us for unnecessary treatment. This experience left us feeling as though we were being taken advantage of 😞 Response to the owners comment: Just to clarify the costs, we were offered the option of having the wound stitched under anaesthesia, with an estimated total cost of £700–£900, including the £170 consultation fee. My husband was unable to pay this amount at the time, so he asked about a dressing, antibiotics and pain relief instead. We were advised that the total for this option, including the consultation fee, would be approximately £300–£350, and we paid £312. I appreciate that your records may contain different information, but this is exactly what was communicated and offered to us at the time.

  Took my cat their early on Sunday as he was attacked and had a puncture wound that the vet completely ignored and called a "scab" charged near £200 for a 2 min appointment where she said it was his paw that was the issue not the "scab" and gave me pain killers. Not even a week later and the puncture is not leaking puss.

  A pretty good vet in an emergency, but, the prices are excessive to the point of being obscene. My suggestion would be to only use the emergency vet in the event of a life or death emergency or expect to be fleeced.
