  Took a day off work to book my dog in for her first groom. Booked weeks in advance. Only to recieve a call in the morning of the booking saying they have to cancel as the lady is still off sick... not great service. I get you cant help sickness, however by the tone im guessing she's been off for a while. On the plus side she's now booked with Heart pet groomers in Exeter and she sounded fantastic!

  Do not waste your time!!! If I could give no stars I really would,completely upset and angry after today’s experience. Iam never a person to write a review but I wish I would have looked before hand. Went in last week to book my new puppy in for a wash he didn’t needs the full works but I was forced into having only that option but the lady just wasn’t very happy and didn’t seem like she really cared or wanted to be there.she booked my dog in for today after only being able to offer one appointment time for the next two weeks as she only works two days for 9am! I explained to her my daughter goes on transport and gets picked up so would come as soon as she leaves (we live 45 minutes away) at no point did she say if you arrive even 5 to 10 minutes late they will refuse to do it.I apologied and there were two staff with no other animals as it was just opened but they were not willing to negotiate I said as I was late and they was saying about time to get it all done I said leave the ears,pads and cut as I didn’t want that to begin with but was happy to pay the full price just for wash so she had 50 minutes to complete this but she was refusing to and then started waving a policy paper around about being late.They had more then enough time with two of them to just wash a dog and the aggression and dismissive attitude they had towards us was just like they were looking for an excuse to do no work on a Monday morning.This is my first dog and first experience so I’m completely disappointed Not good costumer service Will not be returning Rude staff

  We my husband and I, took both our dogs for a groom at this groom room. One is a Golden Doodle and the other is a Cocker Poo. I asked for them to be clipped for the summer as they both had their winter coats. I asked for their mussels to be trimmed and tidied. We got a huge shock when we collected them both. The groomer had completely shaved them both, heads, face, tails and body's to the point you could see their skin. This is just very lazy grooming. We have clippers and could have done that. Instead We were charged extra money for this £40. They called it matting money. They said the extra charge was to pay for ware and tear on their equipment. They did this procedure without asking first and said it was a welfare issue. Our dogs have baths and are brushed at least twice a week especially through the winter. They are both insured and have pet plans with the vets. They are both fully up to date with all vaccines flea and worm treatments and adored by the whole family. My husband and I are appauld at the treatment and service provided to us and our lovely dogs. We will never attend the groom room in Exeter Devon again.

  Terrible service, I do not recommend it. I brought 2 Yorkies, and we agreed for a full groom service. I asked for hygiene, ears and body, hair to be shortened by half, as well as claws, everything is standard as in any grooming. The only thing I asked was not to touch the hair near the eyes, because when it grows, it irritates the eyes and then it heals very slowly. In 2 hours I collected the dogs, but I was in a rush and didn't see what they had done right away. The ears were not touched at all, neither inside nor outside, the body hair was shortened, but in many places it sticks out because it was not cut smoothly. The belly was not touched at all, no hygiene was done, the tail was not touched, the paws were clipped only with one dog, the other dog had her nails unclipped as they said she didn't let them to. The whiskers and muzzle were cut crooked, more on the left than on the right. But the worst is the CUT the hair near the eyes!!!! The only thing i asked NOT TO DO! Now the eyes are constantly running and it will take a year for the hair to grow back there. For £80 I got terrible service and now more problems! It's obvious the staff has no idea what the grooming is! I think that for such service you don't deserve even half a star. Why does Pets at Home cooperate with such a poor quality grooming salon? Avoid Groom Room, they are amateurs.

  Friendly, excellent service and the Labrador actually loves it! Highly recommended for all grooming of the animal variety!
