My wife had a very concerning experience at Dronfield Veterinary Clinic involving a needle‑stick injury caused during an injection attempt with my dog. Despite clearly expressing that our 12 week old puppy was distressed and likely to react, this was not managed appropriately (ignored), and the situation escalated to the point where the needle went through her hand. She was then given incorrect first‑aid advice and had to seek proper medical treatment through NHS 111 and A&E.
What has disappointed me even more is the lack of follow‑up from the clinic — no welfare check, no request for my wife's account of the incident, and no meaningful communication about how they intend to prevent this happening again. The entire experience left both my wife and my dog extremely distressed, and the post‑incident handling fell far short of what I would expect from a professional veterinary practice.

Lovely surgery with really friendly staff. So accommodating and most importantly - they think my cat is gorgeous! 😁
I highly recommend them.
