Very disappointed with the service, very rude staff and vet. It's a shame I can't give zero stars. I called the vets for an emergency appointment due to my mother's elderly 14 year old Chihuahua being attacked by another dog, I am registered with the vets already and my mother lives in South Wales, she was currently visiting me in Carmarthenshire where the dog attack occured. My poor mother's dog was in a very bad state and her eye was bitten where it was hanging out of the socket with a lot of blood loss. My mother is registered with a vet in Cardiff PDSA and there was no time to get her to her local vet which is why I called my vet. I explained what had happened and it was an emergency, the reception and vet was very rude and wanted £1,500 to £2,000 to see the dog before surgery and expected the price to increase after surgery. I explained my mother's circumstances and agreed to the surgery but asked if we could pay a upfront cost with the remaining amount on a payment plan. The vet wouldn't agree to this and wanted the full money as a upfront cost, I was very upset and so angry, all they cared about was the money and the cost, they didn't care about the emergency or my mother's poor dog. The vet told me over the phone to tell my mother to dig out her benefit paperwork and take her dog to the PDSA in Cardiff and refused to then help. This is absolutely disgusting for a vets who supposed to put a dog's health and care first. After this I managed to call another private vet in my area who asked me to bring the dog down straight away for surgery and they will agree to a payment plan as they put the dogs care first not the money or affordability. The other private vets saved my mother's dog life. I will definitely not take any of my animals or recommend this emergency vets it's disturbing and disgusting how the handled the emergency and only wanted the money.

Just had an emergency visit with our cat, and the practice was very helpful from the calming tones on the phone, to the warm and safe welcome on arrival, the establishment is well laid out with plenty of space and a very clean maintained environment. The team was very helpful and calming in what was a very distressing moment. I can't thank them enough for what they have done for my partner, I and little pearl.

Easy to find and park.
Sticky floor in waiting room with awful smell. It was clean, not sure if it's the cleaning products or problem with the floor.
Dog stayed over night for treatment and collected in the morning, as my vet doesn't provide overnight care. Night team were dismissive but day team very bubbly and reassuring. Both teams clearly looked after my dog well as he improved well over night.
Good handover to me and paperwork given to return to my vets with. Forward cost to my vet without issue, so one vet for insurance to deal with.

Excellent care as always from Vet Rhian with our dog Reeba, who is very nervous on her check ups. And the great care and empathy shown on losing our little Jack Russell who passed away in January.
Special thanks to Julie Kirk on all her help with both our dogs over the past couple of years. And many thanks Julie on your kindness & empathy shown to us on losing our little Buddha who was almost 18 years old, your understanding of the loss of our beloved little dog will always be remembered. Thank you, Dawn & Mike.
