  Both myself and my dog were nervous of groomers and the staff here were beyond outstanding. Putting us both at ease. Great people who know how to do their job excellently.

  Swift is a regular here. The staff are lovely and they always do a great job and Swift doesn't mind being left

  Witnessed today (Saturday at 09:40) a VERY distressed mixed breed dog being "groomed", you could hear him or her crying from entering the main shop, meaning even through closed doors of the Groom Room. Dog was in terrible distress, crying in pain or fear. "secured" by the neck and groin area , trying desperately to get out of , really, the "noose" around his neck. No other way to call it. There was what looked a white wide bandage around his neck. Word No was shouted at him a lot, until the groomer realized she was being watched. I opened the door to ask if that was a rescue dog (apparently wasn't) , if he was injured (apparently wasn't) and could they not tell the owner how very distressed dog was and not to bring him back. I did also take a photo which I am not going to post and I have cropped the groomer out of it. By the time I left the dog at the vets and was going out of the shop, Groom Room manageress (who wasn't there while dog was being groomed) , stopped me to ask me why I took the photo, to tell me dog was "absolutely fine" (indeed, suddenly there were three people inside patting the dog, dryer off, all nice. ), she apparently didn't hear the dog in distress just to say later he is "always like that, it's the husky cross in him and they don't like being groomed". Poor soul looked like a Caucasian Shepherd, hence me asking if he was a rescue..point is, whatever cross, he suffers every time they bring him there. Manageress then pointed out how her own dog hates it but "has to be done as they can get skin allergies" and so on. Owners should actually stay and see their dogs being "handled". This soul could had done with a good furminator rake in his own garden, without such horrible ordeal. It is all about money, dogs and how it affect them (some of them at least) , don't come into this. Just awful. Shame for excellent vets being just next door to them, they have to listen to distressed dogs (and dogs waiting for their ops get distressed. too)
