We took our Great Pyrenees dog here for problems with loose stool with blood and, problem with defecating normally. We had appointments with 3 different veterinarians at this location, all of them blamed the issue on the dog’s diet and weight. We followed the plan with prescription food to lose weight but the problem continued. The last visit was with an older doctor who had a bad attitude with both myself and my husband. He appeared to just be afraid of the dog, yes he is a big dog. Neither one of the three veterinarians took the time or had the interest to perform a digital exam on our dog or they would have found a large polyp in his rectum causing the difficulties and the bleeding. We thankfully have now found a veterinarian who took the time to examine and find the polyp on our FIRST visit. The biopsy she took is indicating possible anal cancer. Our very loved pet is now scheduled for extensive surgery at Georgia University Veterinary facility.
Ours is a very large dog, but he deserves to the same care and attention as a ten pound poodle. It’s time for veterinarians to get back to the basics of doing what is necessary to diagnose an issue especially after three unsuccessful visits. There is more to it than just throwing pills and prescription diets against the wall and hoping for the best.
We could possibly lose our boy to cancer and possibly have prevented a very expensive surgery if only someone had taken the time.

Very friendly staff. I called at 4pm on a Friday with a paw injury and they saw us at 430 and took care of our sweet puppy. We love all the vets and staff. Our pup has a "spa" day tomorrow. Bath and nails and she loves it every time. They spoil our baby
