I have been with Banfield since 2016 for my dog. I came in today due to my dog have diarrhea and blood in his stool. I came in at 12:20am for a drop off appointment. The doctor advised me she could run one test that was $46 dollars and fecal exam that was included in his plan. She advised after that if need she would run blood test. Around 2pm two hours later doctor calls me and stated she went to get ace from the crate and his anus was bleeding. She states she washed him off and recommended he goes to the emergency room stating she could do the work in house but recommends the ER. So I take him to the ER they recommended got there they provide my dog with pain meds and releases his anal glands. They then are speaking on next steps and start a quote on what they recommended I say hey this sound like the stuff Banfield was supposed to do earlier. They say yes Banfield should've done some of these things before sending you out I can call them and you can go back some of this is probably covered in your plan. I go back to Banfield this being now 3:30 pm they put me in a room with a new doctor. First thing out of this doctor mouth is so you came back from the ER cause you couldn't afford their pricing I'm like yeah no that's not what happened I stated I was advised you all could've did it. So I asked what was done earlier when I dropped him off he said they notes state you declined treatment I advised I never declined treatment you told me to go to ER. I have been gaslighted since 12am by this office they basically just didn't want to deal with my dogs bloody anal . They kept passing they buck instead of doing their. Between rude comments and just lack of any help with my dog they didn't even do any exam on him the first time . They have the worst practice and I cant believe I was handled this way me and my dog. Thank God for the people al the ER that actually gave my dog treatment.

Ariana, the vet assistant was so wonderful! First time in 8 years that we receive such kind and careful explanations of Keelo's visit! She patiently explained and listened to my questions and concerns.

Banfield unfortunately is a rip off. For what I was paying for in monthly dues…I have and was discriminated against…tried to notify management only to encounter more discrimination. Also had a very sick puppy …stool samples were taken..I paid a very high invoice ….only to be told 3 weeks after ….that the stool samples were lost in transition…..which means my dog was misdiagnosed and given meds based on an assumption as the stool samples were lost and never recovered. Going on 5 months now…I still have not heard from management. If you care for your fur baby’s well being please invest in a different vet outside of Banfield.
