Dr Zigelsky is our favorite. she is so kind, compassionate and patient with our needy pups. our girls are weary of strangers and require someone who is familiar with one skittish pup & one who guards her owners while on a leash. She never once was rude or impatient with our girls and that is something we have dealt with before with less experienced vets who did not try to understand what they needed to be comfortable. the same goes for Keona, who has been our tech on many occasions and is wonderful. we have had great experiences at all banfield locations in savannah and are grateful for their care and the expertise of the entire team and love the affordability of the wellness plans when we all know vet care can be very costly.

Highly upset with this location. I booked an online appointment at the Abercorn store @8:30am for an in person doctors visit, I arrive and they tell me I am at the wrong location and need to go to the mall blvd location. I then proceed to go to the mall blvd location and they tell me I would need to drop off my dog and would not be able to pick her up until later in the afternoon because they had no in person doctors appointments available & that although I made an appointment for an in person visit, they stated “they had no control over the scheduling portal & they did not confirm this visit”. Mind you I received a confirmation email from Banfield confirming my appointment time and location which was supposed to be at the Abercorn store. I had plans later than evening and could not drop her off and then resulted in a $400 Emergency room visit for something that banfield could have solved for much cheaper. I have been going to Banfield for 10 years for my dog and not once have they made me this upset and disappointed. I will never be booking with this location or the abercorn location again. This was such an inconvenience & it was so disorganized on Banfields part.

⚠️ Pet Owner Beware – Banfield Pet Hospital
I am writing this after an extremely painful and unacceptable experience following the death of my dog, Jacque.
After Jacque passed away, Banfield did not contact me to ask what I wanted done with his remains.
Despite paying for their highest-level care and services, his body was not sent for cremation for over a week.
No one called.
No one explained what was happening.
No one gave me options.
I had to follow up myself while grieving.
To make matters worse, even after everything that went wrong, Banfield continued to misspell my dog’s name — including spelling Jacque as “Jaque" as well as misspelling my last name.
That may sound small to some people, but after losing your pet and already feeling ignored, it felt like yet another sign of how little care or attention was being given.
This was not just a delay.
It was a complete breakdown in communication, dignity, and basic compassion during one of the hardest moments a pet owner can go through.
I trusted Banfield with my dog and with the handling of his remains.
That trust was not honored.
I strongly encourage pet owners to ask very specific questions in advance about:
• how remains are handled,
• how quickly services are arranged, and
• who is responsible for communication after a pet passes.
I wish I had known to do that before trusting this process.
Jacque deserved better.
And so do the people who love their pets.
