- KDKyle DonaldDec 22, 20251.0I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Banfield Hospital in Peachtree City. After my appointment was canceled on Friday, I was told I would be “squeezed in” on Saturday (12/20/25). The cancellation happened because they advised me to take my other dog to the ER for respiratory issues, which I completely understood. However, my oldest dog still urgently needed to be seen for an ear and skin infection. I asked if my dog could stay while I returned later to pick him up, but that option was denied. Instead, I was assured multiple times that if I called the next day, they would work me into the Saturday schedule. I made it very clear that this was not ideal due to my tight schedule, but I agreed based solely on their promise. When I called the following day, I was told they could not get me in at all. This was incredibly frustrating and felt misleading, especially given the urgency of my dog’s condition and the assurances I was given beforehand. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. I have experienced several ongoing issues with this location, and this was the final straw. I need a dependable and committed care team for my older dogs, and Banfield in Peachtree City has consistently fallen short. I will be canceling my care plan and would not recommend this location to anyone seeking reliable veterinary care.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
