I am super excited about my girl's first visit for training this morning. She showed engagement, poise and impulse control within the first 25 minutes of working with Darrian at Paws & Parks. I am overjoyed because my 3.5 yr old stubborn girl is showing great progress. Well worth the money I spent already now that I know how to lead her & SHE KNOWS SHE CAN DO IT Thank you ever so much!

Service Has Gone Way Downhill—Incomplete Groom and Extremely Defensive Owner I almost never leave bad reviews—I prefer to vote with my wallet—but the owner here was so unprofessional, I had to take the time to write this. This was my second visit, and the difference from six months ago was huge. The first time was fine, but now, if you check the recent reviews, it seems like the poor service and bad attitude are becoming a trend. I brought my two long-haired cats in for the full package: shave, bath, and nail trim. First impression? The place reeked of weed when I dropped them off. I figured, "Hey, maybe a relaxed groomer is a better groomer," but that wasn't the case. I reminded him that my cats are difficult (which he confirmed from our last visit). When I picked them up, I paid the full price and tipped 20% right away, acknowledging that cats are tough. I got home, let them out, and immediately saw he'd completely missed shaving their butts—arguably the most crucial part of the groom for long-hair cats. A professional groomer should address an incomplete job before taking full payment. He didn't say a word. I texted him asking if he'd forgotten, and he replied, "it was kind of difficult... but we can definitely try again." Okay, that was an acceptable response. But when I brought them back in to fix the sanitary shave, I had barely even spoken - not complained or anything - when he began with the defensiveness and aggression. I was shocked. I simply told him that if he couldn't complete that key part of the groom, I needed a refund to take them to someone who could. He got very upset, told me "that wasn't going to happen," and tried to take my cats to the back anyway. At that point, I just wanted my pets out of there, but he insisted and finished the shave. Here’s the kicker that made me write this review: After I got them home the second time, I realized he never trimmed their nails! That's basic grooming 101 and a non-negotiable part of the full service I paid for. I know my cats are challenging. The solution is to charge more or communicate with the owner, not to take full payment for unfinished work and then become confrontational when asked to correct your mistakes. The owner is defensive, abrasive, and aggressive. I wouldn't trust him with my pets again. Avoid this place.

I was a 1st time customer to see if I wanted to take my dog here. We will never be back. 1st...When I arrived I found out the cat in the groom room was flea infested. We should have left then. 2nd... I was called after 3.5 hours and was told my dog was done. So just when I'm about to come, I'm called and told that it was going to be another 2 or so hours because the owner/groomer had to go pick up another dog. 3rd...When I do arrive 3.5 hours after the call, why am I seeing my dog be trimmed on? 4th...when I arrived I said barely take anything off. I literally said I liked the overall look. The ears, tail, body all looked good so I say barely take any off just clean him up. I even showed a picture of the groom. 5th...I arrive and I just knew that wasn't my dog. Why was he wearing a summer after winter cut. I barely wanted a trim. All the groomer said was I saw the picture and saw he was uneven. My dog who is half Bischon half Shi Tzu now looked like a Snauzcher. 6th...here we are a few days later and my dog has fleas! What! Oh no. Not acceptable. He's never had fleas or ticks but now! After going to this business. Oh now. The scalping I could handle but fleas! Then he wanted to charge me extra for cleaning his ears. Never again! That was a wasted $100.

Never take your dog here he is not professional liars dirty place trim my dogs in the middle of the store. I have to help him hold my dog in top of that. He asked me to pay the handling fee every time I go there which is he told me the first time I was there you only pay handling fee one time, I don’t think he knows what he’s doing. He is unprofessional. He just tried to make money. He doesn’t care for animals. He put shirt in his nose when he trimming my dog nails in the middle of the store in the end I was helping him he said I did my best for your dog , when I’m coming to pay, he tried to charge me the handling fee again I say what for it you already told me you charge Handlin fee one time he say I don’t record the conversation. I will never come back my dog nails not trimming correctly because how does trimming the dog in middle of the store and cover his nose with his shirt that definitely told you what kind of Business he’s doing I don’t think he has any knowledge about animal . I asked him to shave the hair in his paws he said I did I came home looking at it looks like barely he touch it and he wants to charge me for that too I will never come back for sure

So the phone conversation just ended between buddy & I: 3 Cats taken in for flea baths couple weeks ago while I was on the road (truck driver) by my fiancé - upon completion I was told cats felt better looked better all things good. Today we took the 3 cats in again for a second round, fleas suck is what it is. I do give buddy the 2 stars cause he was willing to work with us on the price due to us spending a lot during our move. We picked up the cats & when we got home we examined them & this time around the cats felt a bit different, less clean still with some flea dirt residue and a couple fleas. While there is never a guarantee when it comes to flee removal and it is an on going process it seemed based on what visit 1 was and visit 2 is there’s a clear difference. I called back to ask questions regarding the process, give feedback on what we found after the cleaning and was met with what can only be described as someone who does not take criticism well. As a professional in whatever degree or line of business you should expect it to come around & be able to absorb it 🤷‍♂️ or professionally articulate a defense or a clarity to offer a perspective that maybe the client or consumer isn’t seeing. HOWEVER - my dear sensitive friend what you SHOULD NOT do, is say, “Well now this is why you’re frustrating me” or “Well you and I are cool” (insinuating that at any point I’m some bum that’s going to side against the word of my partner and believe you over them) or that we should just go somewhere else 🤷‍♂️ Let me not paint myself the hero I called you out for that last bit: -The job you did wasn’t your best -You need to work on your response to consumer criticism -Maybe cats aren’t your specialty -Don’t ever try to pit a man in a position where it comes to siding over the word of his wife -Don’t push so hard for reviews Have the day you deserve bud 👈
