I originally came here because my wonderful groomer started working here. Her name is Ashley and she is the best. I later started taking my baby in for vet services. The staff is friendly and the vets are attentive and helpful.

I had a great experience with Dr Martin and his vet tech Breanna. I took my senior dog there for a first time visit to get a second opinion on some leg and hip issues she was having. Dr Martin quickly assessed her and explained everything in detail on what she may be experiencing and provided a plan of action. I appreciated finally getting answers. Also another small detail that was great…I was able to pay and receive medication all in the exam room as opposed to carrying my heavy dog back to the reception area for checkout.

As a new patient, this visit was disappointing from the start. My cat was taken out of the room for his weight, exam, and the entire appointment — which was unsettling, especially for a first visit. When he returned from a blood draw, his chest was soaked with alcohol, and the smell was overwhelming. I had to use damp paper towels multiple times just to remove the odor going straight to his face.
When I asked about it, the tech said they “sprayed him with alcohol.” I can’t imagine many cats reacting well to being sprayed with anything, let alone alcohol. When I pointed out that his chest was completely soaked, the tech denied it — which made the situation worse, as it felt dismissive and dishonest.
On top of that, while the doctor was in the room, the tech continued holding my cat tightly even though no one was examining him. He started to growl out of distress, and I had to ask her to release him so I could focus on what the doctor was saying.
Overall, this visit was a failure on multiple levels — lack of transparency, poor handling, and no sensitivity to the comfort of either the pet or the owner.

Very helpful and friendly front desk staff. Dr. Martin was very thorough in his examination and called after my cat's operation. Very pleased with everyone here.

A long review. Our animals have been patients at Fayette Veterinary Medical Center for years. We've always had positive experiences there, but this last one was extraordinary. We were scheduled to leave town, and had our Yorkie scheduled for boarding. Unfortunately, the day before we were to leave town he was diagnosed with an ulcer in his left eye. The eye drop regimen prescribed was something else; 4 different drops 4 times per day. When we took him back to the eye specialist after boarding he said the eye looks great and that we owed the vet boarding a huge thank you for faithfully administering all those drops. So, thank you! We appreciate your dedication!
