Offered a prescription for HeartGard as she’s actively on prevention, but their prescription was much more affordable. I say sure, they send it. Super quick. 10/19/25- my second dog needs vaccines. They did the vaccines and an exam. I asked if she could also have a HeartGard prescription as she’s also on prevention and discussed my previous visit. TWICE from the vet and the techs they said no problem we’ll send it. I tried to order the medications this weekend. Yesterday got an email saying they’re pending since the clinic won’t answer. 45 minutes of phone calls later customer service says it won’t be a problem they’ll be filled. Today? I get an email saying the whole order was cancelled. Why? Copy and paste from the email: We're sorry we had to cancel your prescription item because your vet clinic indicated they need to see your pet first. After your appointment, please place a new order on Petco.com. My dog just had an exam? BOTH did? I have receipts. I call customer service. Two different reps try to help and the best they says is “let’s just book you for another visit to come get services”. No. I just paid you for a visit and services. I was also told every vet is different and if they don’t send the prescription during the visit, you can just “try your luck” on another day. Try my luck??? My dog just needed a refill that was cheaper through Petco. Not a crazy workup. Forget this place. I was told they were pretty helpful.
