STAY AWAYYY!!!! Today my 6 year old Pit had an appointment to address an ongoing limp. He was seen by Dr.Male and the assistant Marvin. Upon introduction I let Marvin know I was interested in getting an xray to see what was going on and asked if my dog would need to be sedated to which he let me know it depends on the dogs temperament. My dog has been going to this location for 6 years now multiple times a year, he does not like the vet and is a cry baby so he will whine his way through the visit, aside from that he has never been aggressive toward anyone, has never snapped or barked at any staff. Moving along, Marvin informs me of a separate action plan to avoid getting X-rays today as to “save me money” the X-ray is apart of his plan so I was confused. He stated “most dogs of his breed get snappy when in pain” so it would be best to have him sedated at a later time when he is due for his dental exam… next year… He said he would inform the doctor of the situation and let her decide what we do. Once he pointed out my dogs breed I already knew where this was headed. Any dog in pain is liable to snap….it isn’t a breed issue. Shortly after they both come in the room & Marvin has a device to check my dogs ears. I have my dog in between my legs sitting down, he looks at him hesitantly and moves as if he is trying to find a way to check his ear. My dog is stressed and anxious so he is moving his head around & panting heavily like usual. I try to assist grabbing his head yet Marvin is still hesitating with the device pointed toward him to where he then looks at the DR and they both agree to just not proceed with that….Dr.Male starts to examine his leg and Marvin is attempting to hold him, My dog gets uncomfortable and tries to squirm away (he is still in between my legs and I have him by his harness). At this point Marvin suggests getting a muzzle for him. I look around confused and let them know he has never needed a muzzle nor has he ever worn one before at the vet- Marvin looks at the doctor and they kind of share a worried look and the doctor asks me if I would mind it? they say its just a precaution while she is examining the leg; to where I reiterate “If you guys will feel safer with the muzzle go for it but he has never worn one so I don’t know how he will react to it” Marvin grabs the muzzle and says lets put it on just so we are all safe. Okay….. my dog starts crying his head off trying to get the muzzle off. he is now laying on his side on the floor with the doctor examining his leg and Marvin holding his head down. The most he did was try to push the doc with his back leg so I was bent over holding it to prevent that. We get past that and they ask me if I would like his nails trimmed I said yes. Ever since he was a puppy they have DRILLED his nails down since he has dark nails so I am assuming it would be the same process today: Take him to the back drill the nails and boom all done. But no, as the doctor is talking to me about the leg she then extends it and Marvin grabs the clippers and begins clipping his nails quickly. He cuts my dogs quik. I get upset and tell them to just forget the pedicure to which he asks me if “I am sure” …… we are wrapping up the appointment and now they are telling me that they want to prescribe him “calming pills” for what? I’m not sure. The whole experience seemed incredibly rushed and unprofessional. I will not be returning to this location and I would urge you to steer clear as well. I did not feel like they listened to any of my concerns truly and they had no intentions of performing any Xray. The solution to my dogs problem was half assed, rushed and handled by a person with fear of my dog. A dog who has given no one reason to fear him. He has never needed a muzzle at any visit, does he get anxious? Yes does he whine ? Yes. He is in pain and at the vet he is not going to sit down and smile like hes on vacation. Horrible horrible service today and they caused my dog more pain on top of what he went in with. Thanks Banfield Duluth and thanks Marvin.

I first came to this location almost 5 years ago when I had got my Staffy at 5wks old(yes young but the mother stopped feeding the liter) he was in pretty bad shape. The staff here took great care of my little guy and now he's going on 5yrs old and he LOVES going to see them. When we pull in the parking lot he instantly starts to whine and hop around. I refuse to take him anywhere else.

Don't come, people are nice but prices are high, they offer a insurance that covers nothig, they offered extra programs to add to your plan (that you can use once a year and dont explain this), the system doesn't work....
