The wait was a bit long, but the doctors, front desk and technicians staff are all very nice. Very thorough, detailed and clear communication and exam. Even with a longer wait (about 30 mins in a room) the environment did not feel chaotic or stressful. I appreciate I was given a referral vs having a doctor attempt a procedure they aren't fully confident with

Went here because they had a Free First Exam coupon and money is very tight right now, but my 15 yr old pup was due for a refill of his pain meds for his arthritis. I have worked in the veterinary field for 30 yrs so have seen and heard many things but always give the benefit of the doubt unless proven otherwise. I arrive a bit early for my visit and was put into a room. Trigger gets very anxious, so sat on the floor waiting with him. We waited approx. 30 minutes before dr came in. Had gone over previous records and meds with very sweet vet tech. Dr Williams is very nice but the "exam" lasted maybe 3 minutes. She listened to his heart and that was it...no temp, no checking teeth and gums, did not even check his hips and hind legs, which is what he takes meds for. He was due for rabies vacc. so was quoted $28 and gave permission to do that. Asked for written script to pick up at Kroger, where we get our meds. Waited another 15 minutes for vacc. and had to ask front desk if we had been forgotten. Dr came in with shot and script. Rx was for different strength and she stated that was so I didn't have to half them...they are scored and made to be halved, if needed, to get correct dose and is very cost effective. They seemed very put out when I told them this and they demanded written rx back and I could leave pharmacy info at front desk to be called in (that us what I originally wanted). When I checked out rabies vacc was over $33. When I said that I was quoted $28 they stated additional cost was for "medical waste" and tax. Services are not taxable, only dispensable items are, and what waste...she wasn't even wearing disposable gloves and syringe is placed into Sharps container.
So blessed to have worked for awesome vets over the years! This was not a good experience.

Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
