At first, I was going to buy a bird because my sweet bird I had rescued from being rejected from his family's nest had sadly passed away. I walked in, headed to the birds but was halted by seeing this giant mouse all alone sleeping in a pile of wood chips. I had never seen a Chinchilla before so I asked to hold him and that did it... I fell in love. I initially felt like I was rescuing him from a sad solitary life, but came to find out that while he slept during the day, the staff took him out daily to play and love on him. I had always been told never buy exotic pets from retailers, but the PETCO in Dawsonville is exceptional, the staff there really loves their critters and that is rare and noteworthy. Thank you Dawsonville store, please keep giving love to your little friends until they get a forever homes. Love, Bijoux's mom.🐹🫶🏼❤️
