This location should be shut down for negligence. I strongly caution anyone, especially owners of senior pets, to NEVER go to this location.
On February 8, 2026, I brought my 13-year-old dog in for a dental cleaning that had been scheduled more than three weeks in advance, along with a kennel cough vaccination and nail clipping, with a 10:00 a.m. drop-off. At drop-off, I was told he would be ready by 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.
Later that afternoon, I received a call stating they were running behind and that he would not be ready until 5:00 p.m., which is their closing time. I called back and asked if there was any way to pick him up around 4:00 p.m., as we had plans that evening and were originally told he would be ready by 2:00 or 3:00. I was told they would try and would call if they finished early. They never called.
I arrived at 5:00 p.m., waited 20–30 minutes at the front desk, and was then pulled into a side room and informed that they were unable to perform the procedure at all due to a scheduling conflict. I was told I could bring him back at 7:30 a.m. the following day. They did not administer the kennel cough vaccine or clip his nails.
When I got my dog home, he was so out of it that he could not stand up and had a bowel accident in the car. He groaned throughout the night and experienced repeated diarrhea. This was not mild grogginess, this was heavy sedation, which made no sense given that I had been told no procedure was performed.
Because of how alarming his condition was, I contacted my dog’s home veterinary location on February 9, 2026 to ask what medications had been given. When they accessed his file, NO DRUGS WERE LISTED AT ALL.
So a 13-year-old dog was clearly sedated to the point of losing mobility and bowel control, yet there is zero documentation of what was administered. Combined with the conflicting explanations I have received, this raises extremely serious concerns about medical oversight, documentation, communication, and patient safety.
On February 9, 2026, I spoke directly with Dr. Noel, the veterinarian who was supposed to perform the dental cleaning. He apologized and stated that he had made a scheduling error and was initially at a different location and when the clinic called him, he drove to the proper location to do the procedure.
Dr. Noel then stated that the procedure had already begun, that my dog had been sedated, a catheter had been placed, and prep was underway — and that when I arrived at 5:00 p.m., the manager (Liz) told him that I could not wait any longer and needed to pick my dog up. That conversation never happened.
I was never told the procedure was underway. In fact, I was explicitly told the opposite, that they could not get to him that day and that I should bring him back the following morning. At no point was I informed that my dog had already been sedated and prepped, nor was I given the option to wait or stop the procedure. That decision was made without my knowledge or consent.
The bowel accident (especially the large amount of feces) and his condition also strongly suggest he was never taken outside and was left crated most of the day. Leaving a senior dog sedated and crated all day without proper care or communication is unacceptable and, in my opinion, animal abuse.
This was a complete failure of communication, scheduling, medical judgment, and basic care. At minimum, I should have been informed that the procedure had started and been given the choice to proceed or stop. Instead, decisions were made for me, information was withheld, and my dog suffered the consequences.
This is no longer just poor customer service, it is a serious patient safety issue.

I have been going to Banfield for over five years. This Chamblee location is the worst location, I've ever gone to.. Liz Schriek who Is the manager runs a terrible business. Today I got off work. I had an appointment at 3:30 when I get there they said the doctor had an emergency, but this happened at 10 AM. No one could call me before 3:30 to tell me not to come then I wanted to call the corporate office because I've had some other issues at this location. I asked the a young lady at the front des If I could use a ink pen people were standing there she said yes she lied and said I reached behind her desk and took the ink pen she then called the police it's because I'm black and we're always considered a threat. I pay taxes. I'm not afraid of the police. I am a legal citizen .I pay taxes. I've been going to Banfield for over five years and I've never been treated in this manor . . They don't ever have to worry about me coming to that location again talking about I'm banned No, they should be banned and I'm really thinking about getting rid of the Banfield insurance it isnt worth the headache. Look at the video how that girl had three police officers come out there for a lie that's how people get shot and killed over nonsense.

I started to come here after the one in perimeter closed and this location did not disappoint. Super sweet people and you can see they love their job taking care of our fur babies. Every time I used to do check ups, it would take like two- three hours, but for this location, they do it in an hour, very fast and efficient. Thank you Ashley and Keaira this new team is amazing!
