Dr Felix Benimana is incompetent and inconsiderate. Avoid entirely. After my dogs tooth extract he left a whole in his. Ensured me it would heal and isn't prone to infection. Neither are true. On top of that. For both follow ups I had to wait 30+ minutes for him to finish surgery. Understandable. The 2nd time. I show up for my confirmed appointment. He decides to step out of the building as I walk in and the staff asks me up wait 30 minutes for him. Ridiculous.

My experience at this location is such a mixed bag. My last visit, six months ago, was great. Ease of scheduling was great, and I got to meet the vet and talk to them as they did the checkup. My appointment this past Wednesday was just SO disappointing. I requested that an in-room appointment at 9:30 because my dog does get very anxious at the vet and so I try to minimize the time he spends there. This was not the appointment I received -when I walked in, they told me they were expecting me "much later" and that this was a drop off appointment. They didn't accommodate me when I told them my dog gets anxious and that was the reason I asked for an in room appointment. I let it go, because mixups do happen, and just agreed to the drop off. Communication was just abysmal. They asked me which phone # to use to contact me when my dog was ready for pick up; I asked them to please call me, because the number on file as the primary phone number (my husband) would not be as available that day. They confirmed my phone number. And then never actually contacted me to inform me when my dog was ready for pickup. If you're not actually going to update the contact info real time, then why bother asking? When they did contact my husband, they just left a message saying that my dog was ready. No updates on the actual vet visit - is the status of everything okay? We expressedly asked that they check up on something (a coughing problem) and there was NO information provided as to what they did, how they checked it out (if they did anything at all? So unclear). I never actually got to speak to the vet or hear from the vet. The only information I received was from the front desk staff confirming that "everything looked great!." I also requested a specific service (a nail trim). The service was not completed when I came to pick up my dog. I stayed an extra 10 mins or so for them to complete the service and watched as the tech did what I considered a mediocre job - the very last nail, she attempted multiple times because my dog was getting fidgety, and then she just... gave up and said it was "good enough." So disappointed, especially when they charged me over 22 dollars for that service. I thought the bedside manner from the vet tech was subpar as well. On the other hand, I can't say enough nice things about the front desk staff. So friendly and so sweet with my dog, super helpful, and helped keep my dog calm during the nail trim.

Dr. Edwards is AMAZING; she has a true gift when it comes to animals. I have been coming to this Banfield since my regular one was shutdown (about 6 months ago) and Dr. Edwards was the first veterinary we saw so we requested to only have her moving forward (I literally will wait for her vs seeing someone else). My dog loves her so much he walks in looking for her. She is patient, kind, and attentive – I hope she never leaves.

We’ve been bringing our dog and two cats here for over a year and couldn’t be happier. The entire team is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly loves what they do. Every visit, we’re welcomed with kindness and enthusiasm, and our pets are always treated like family. I completely trust everyone here—from the front desk to the techs and vets—and know they always have our pets’ best interests at heart. Highly recommend!
