  We had a great experience with Alan’s K9 and our trainer Morgan! Our pit bull was abused and neglected before he came to us and subsequently had a lot of anxiety around strangers. Morgan quickly gained his trust and taught him and us about obedience training. Every week we all learned something new and reinforced what we learned before. He’s like a different dog. Now he’s so much calmer and we can control his behavior with commands so we can be more comfortable when he meets new people or take him in public. She’s so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. I’m confident as long as we keep up with our part of his training we can have a safe and happy dog now. Thank you Morgan for making such a difference in his life and our life with him! I never thought he was capable of learning as well as he has but you made it happen. I would definitely recommend Morgan if you need dog training!

  Our trainer Morgan was fantastic- I’m not sure if she did a better job training us or Bo (our pup), but either way the net result is a better behaving pup!

What I appreciated most was the focus on positive reinforcement—it made the training process enjoyable for my dog and helped strengthen our bond.   We brought Molly home as a rescue and have been struggling with her high anxiety and reactivity. Our experience with 1:1 training at Alan’s K9 Academy has been outstanding. Misty was incredibly patient and always respected Molly’s limits while teaching us practical techniques to help desensitize her to people. We also appreciated Haley and Alyssa joining sessions to safely introduce new people, which really helped Molly become more comfortable with others in our home. Misty was consistently reassuring throughout the process. While Molly isn’t ready to be petted yet, she has made great progress and can now tolerate people being much closer and interacting with her calmly. We are now looking forward to attending the group lessons! Highly recommend!

  Misty was such a huge help in training our Australian Shepherd! We haven’t owned a dog in almost 20 years, so she helped us just as much as our puppy! We had lots of questions and needed guidance as much as our dog needed training. I was scared to try an e-collar, but she guided us through that process, and he’s a whole new boy! We can use his e-collar to let him potty and walk without a leash. He’s not jumping on us like he did, and we can actually open the door without him running outside! In the beginning of training, our boy shut down and wouldn’t do anything while Misty was there. She was patient and gave us plenty to work on during the week. He eventually started working with her and showing off his newfound obedience and tricks. Haley came with Misty the last few weeks, and I can tell she’s going to be a great trainer! You can feel her love for animals, and she has an Aussie, so she understood our boy. Thank you, ladies, for a great experience!
