I have gone here for over a decade now and it has always been an amazing place. I will start off by saying the front desk staff and the vet techs are great and caring towards the animals. My cats have seen multiple vets here and each one has been great, but it seems HAH only has Dr. Iverson now. I don’t feel he is caring or compassionate or seems at all like he cares to give much effort when it comes to cats. He seems dismissive, will talk to you monotoned and unfriendly, but then he walked next door to where a dog was waiting to be seen and he was cheerful and seemed he had much more interest in helping them. I don’t want to assume, but it is kind of hard not to do so when this is a habitual thing. I understand everyone is of course going to have preferences on animals, but every time I’ve seen Dr. Iverson with my cats, I don’t leave satisfied or hopeful that issues will be solved and I won’t be right back there talking with him again. And when you talk with him, also, his eyes wander. And not to the animal on the table. It is unprofessional and highly annoying, as it happens each time. The previous vets they used to have were always great and you left feeling like they cared. I was sad to see everyone else’s name removed from the sign out front. It is also not as clean as it once was. When you arrive, still nail clippings and fur on the exam tables from the previous patients. I used to work at Martinez Animal Hospital and we would sweep the floors, and wipe and sanitize every surface after each patient left. I feel they need to probably give others the task of cleaning up afterwards, if it is the techs’ jobs, as I’m sure they are swamped and may not clean it that well. I don’t know— all I know is that I want the exam table to be clean before I put my cat up there. The last time I brought my cat there, she had some issues I wanted to get checked out, and I must have said 3 times that she is due for her annual vaccines and needs them done. I told them on the phone, at the desk, and in the room. It is on me a bit for not double checking before we left that she had received her vaccines (because they bring them in the back to do them sometimes, not always in the room). I assumed she had gotten them because of the high bill ($400 not including bloodwork or any actual tests) but yet again her vaccines weren’t administered and I don’t understand why. We were only one of 2 people/animals/patients there at the time. I continue to receive messages and emails about her being due for her vaccines. I am sad to sad to say HAH is not at all like it once was. I am not sure the circumstances of it changing or why the other vets left, whether it be for better opportunities or retiring, but it is sad nonetheless. I’m now looking around the area for a vet that has a better report with cats and hope the best for HAH, as it’s served us well in the past.

This is the best hospital/vet care place. I’ve been to in a very long time. They sure help answer a lot of our questions and get my dog out of pain. They got us up-to-date on all his shots and stuff and now are his actual home vet we will be using them going forward. Dr. Iverson was our doctor and he was great and then the nurse was Danielle and she was great too and actually From when I was a kid, I knew she had looked familiar, but everybody was just great And I have a mean dog, so he usually has to have a muzzle along, but by the end of his visit, they had his muzzle off and he wasn’t trying to buy anybody surprisingly, I would highly recommend this vet to anyone that needs their animal to be seen and have the correct diagnosis again thank you Highland we will see y’all in six months
