    Great experience with veterinary nurse Lauren and Dr. Ford. He saw my shitzu TJ this week, he took his time and called me to explain everything and answer my questions. The best I have worked with in the past 12 years.

    My first call was at 8am on Saturday looking to get answers for my corgi that has been suffering with seasonal allergies that Banfield has been treating him for over the last month. After a cycle of antibiotics, probiotics, and anti-inflammatory medicated wipes he is still having terrible symptoms such as fever, swollen paws, excessive drooling, rash around his eyes and mouth, and heavy panting. I called at 8am and was told to make an appointment for Monday. I declined as this seemed emergent and I wanted him to have relief sooner than Monday. I then asked if there was an allergy tablet that would help him feel more comfortable until Monday. I was told I could have a nurse call me back. A nurse never called me back. I called again around noon looking for answers for my corgi to get relief. I was then told that the doctor would call me back in 30 minutes. This never happened. I called again at 5:55pm as they were closing at 6pm. I was initially hung up on and I immediately called back and spoke with the same person I had been dealing with all day. She literally told me she never said that a nurse or doctor would call me back and that my only option was to make an appointment for Monday. It is highly disappointing and downright disgusting when you pay monthly for a wellness service through Banfield and cannot get the support needed for an unwell dog on top of terrible customer service. I am highly disappointed and disheartened by the stance the receptionist took with me. She proceeded to tell me that I could not speak with anyone else because they were gone for the day. Now I have to take my pet to an emergency visit and pay for him to get relief when 10 hours ago I called looking for any type of support or solution to hold us until Monday. Shame on you Banfield Acworth. I hope you all have the day you deserve.

    We have used Banfield for our dogs since 2010. We have moved to a few different states and we like that they always had their records on file. Acworth was a favorite of ours. Most of the doctors were super kind and gentle with our pets, while also being knowledgeable. Within the last year, we lost both of our pets (14 years for both). It has been rough, but they were kind and immediately helpful when we needed them to be. They also were respectful of our wishes when we weren't ready. We used their wellness plans.
