- SWShrook Wageh6 days ago1.0I would like to file a complaint regarding the care my stray cat received yesterday with Dr. Chang Leung. I brought in a very sick stray cat, hoping to get proper help. From the beginning, I felt the doctor seemed unwilling to be there—his appearance was unprofessional, and his attitude felt rushed and irritated. Still, I tried not to judge and allowed him to examine the cat. After requesting several tests, he returned about 30 minutes later and spoke in a way that felt rehearsed, as if he just wanted to repeat what he memorized and leave. He did not seem interested in answering questions or discussing the situation. What upset me most was that the very first thing he told me was that I should put the cat down due to leukemia and poor bloodwork. I explained that I have another stray with the same condition, who is alive and healthy after two years. Only after this conversation did he prescribe Doxycycline—medication that should have been considered before suggesting euthanasia. I later found out that this medication is commonly used for cats with leukemia, which made his initial recommendation even more concerning. It worries me how many pets might be put down unnecessarily because of this kind of approach. I left feeling frustrated, unheard, and very disappointed. I will not be returning to this clinic.
