I was called to schedule for the annual comprehensive exam for my cat, this was my first appointment with this office since moving. There was a little bit of a wait at the desk but that’s okay. The staff came off to me as dedicated, nice people and that’s important when leaving my pet in someone’s trust. Dropped him off super early in the morning for a couple hour exam. I just made it back home before I was called back to pick him up because he was “difficult” and bloodwork couldn’t be completed. For record, he’s pretty easy going in every appointment I’ve taken him to, but this is his first time at this office, a drop off, and his experience before was a nurturing (not a combination for success). But going into it the most I’m thinking is I’m dropping him off for an exam without much else thought, I’m just a pet owner following the discretion and experience of my vet. I’m not upset they couldn’t do bloodwork, but my criticism is there has to be better engagement and commitment procedure at this office. I don’t work with animals for a living but I can imagine for a team of people who do that you get enough experience with cats to avoid situations like this on the front end, it’s not necessarily unexpected to have struggle even with “easy” cats. I completely understand you can’t take action with an unwilling animal, I’m not upset about that reality and understand it, but it felt like a waste of my time as a customer. Instad of sticking around, I drove home just to immediately drive back and he didn’t even get what I dropped him for off done. I could’ve just stayed in the area if I expected as much, all he received this appointment was his vaccines. I’m willing to try them out again and they are nice people, but it did not leave the greatest first impression. My old office would’ve done more on the front end to avoid a customer experience like this. Hopefully this review this helps them improve their procedure so this doesn’t happen to the next car owner!

Sherri (apologies if I did not spell her name correctly) was possibly one of the kindest and most educational CVT I’ve ever interacted with. I also appreciated how kind she was with my sweet boy, Kaijū.

Banfield Carrollwood is very unorganized. I made an appointment online through their website for my Ill dog and received a confirmation email, and the next morning they call and say they cannot see me but I can drop the dog off and they could see him whenever they had time but online I selected an in office appointment but after talking to Noreen they only have one vet and no in office appointments at all for days but the website shows in office appointments. Seems like an easy fix to me to block appointments that aren’t truly available and that would save a lot of headaches for all trying to make appointments. Noreen basically told me I should go somewhere where else. I have been taking my dogs there for over 11 years and they couldn’t care less, no customer service at all and truly don’t care about the animals it’s all about the money.

New customers BEWARE! This Banfield location is extremely unorganized. I had an appt yesterday at 4:30p. Arrived 5 mins early. The receptionist didn't know how to process 1 bag of dog good which held up 3 customers including myself. After all customers were helped and on their way a phone call came in. The receptionist will tell you she's with a customer can you please hold, but meanwhile no one was in front of her she just needed to put the call on hold. Why lie about it, why not just say, may I put you on hold. Right there i knew that office was not for me. Finally, at 4:50p I get called into a room, the tech asked her questions and then took my puppy to the back room. After another 10 mins the tech walks in and says the vet will be with you shortly. I told them I had an appt to get to at 5:30p and I needed them to work a little faster considering they made me wait 20 mins. Long story short it was now 5:45 an entire 1 hour and 15 mins sitting at this appt with nothing done. They are unorganized, inconsiderate, the receptionist is not honest and I decided this office no way shape or form would be a good fit for my puppy.

I have loved how Banfield staff and docs have treated my puppy. He was neutered and all went well. Think the wellness plan is reasonable and covers a lot.
