New customers BEWARE! This Banfield location is extremely unorganized. I had an appt yesterday at 4:30p. Arrived 5 mins early. The receptionist didn't know how to process 1 bag of dog good which held up 3 customers including myself. After all customers were helped and on their way a ohone call came in. The receptionist will tell you she's with a customer can you please hild, but meanwhile no one was in front of her she just needed to put the call on hold. Why lie about it, why not just say, may I put you on hold. Right there i knew that office was not for me. Finally, at 4:50p I get called into a room, the tech asked her questions and then took my puppy to the back room. After another 10 mins the tech walks in and says the vet will be with you shortly. I told them I had an appt to get to at 5:30p and I needed them to work a little faster considering they made me wait 20 mins. Long story short it was now 5:45 an entire 1 hour snd 15 mins sitting at this appt with nothing done. They are unorganized, inconsiderate, the receptionist is not honest and I decided this office no way shape or form would be a good fit for my puppy.

I have loved how Banfield staff and docs have treated my puppy. He was neutered and all went well. Think the wellness plan is reasonable and covers a lot.

Overbooked. Service portal doesn’t work well as the dr I was supposed to see had scheduled surgery.

Over the years, I have observed a decline in the quality of care at this facility, with only one veterinarian (Dr. Bonardi) demonstrating genuine concern for the animals. My experiences with Dr. Simon regarding my dog's seizures were particularly concerning. Despite multiple visits, Dr. Simon dismissed the episodes as "not seizures" without providing an alternative explanation. Seeking a second opinion confirmed that my dog was indeed experiencing seizures, and medication was prescribed to manage the condition. Additionally, I was informed that the flea medication my dog was taking (Simparica) could trigger seizures, which likely explained the increased frequency of episodes—a critical detail that was overlooked. More recently, I scheduled a drop-off appointment after noticing a significant growth in my dog's mouth. Despite the nature of the appointment, I waited 40 minutes before being assisted, only after following up with the staff. After six hours, Dr. Blaustein called to inform me that the growth could be biopsied during my dog's next dental cleaning (scheduled for next year) at a cost of over $700. When I inquired about immediate options, I was told none were available, and the conversation ended abruptly with instructions to pick up my dog. Dr. Blaustein's approach felt unprofessional and lacked empathy for both the pet and the owner. Unfortunately, my experiences at this location, as well as others in the area, have been consistently disappointing. I would not recommend the Banfield insurance plan or their services and suggest seeking care for your pets elsewhere.

We went to take our dog for his comprehensive visit as well as to have his ear checked since it appears to be inflamed and causing a lot of itchiness/discomfort. Under his plan it states ear swab is covered for the 1st year, but does not indicate how many times a year despite other services do have specifications of how many are covered under the plan. The verbiage being utilized is misleading as a new member to the plan as there should be a clear indicator that this service is only a one time service and should outline additional cost will be collected after the first swab has been done. The pamphlet is just there to get your money, but isn’t clear on the breakdown of what’s covered and what’s not and how many within the plan year.
