- EMEdgar MartinezOct 21, 20251.0Drove 75 miles for a 5pm appointment. We were running 5 minutes late, we called ahead and the phone rang as if the location was closed. The sign at the door and online had a 6pm close time. We arrived at 5:07pm and the doors were locked, the lights were off and no one was around. We attempted to call support, they forwarded us to the complaints department and they hung up on us as soon as we were forwarded. Completely unprofessional, lack of communication. No notice of the place closing early or a canceled appointment anywhere. Our day and time was wasted.

Editing to add, we spoke to a vet tech that came outside. We were told they do not take appointments via the Banfield app/email, only phone, and do not have doctors available on Tuesdays. Claimed they called us, they did not. They're accusing us of having the wrong number on our account, but it's the same one we've always used to make appointments. This place lies, stay as far away as you can.

- CLCandy LewisSep 25, 20251.0I wanted my pet to be seen at this clinic for medical treatment she has to have surgery and instead of setting up an appointment for my pet to have surgery they wanted to talk me into making a monthly payment plan for my dog to get her shots…I know shots are important but her surgery to me is more important because she has two knots on her breast and no one hasn’t called me in regards of the doctor seeing my pet yet…I have visited Banfield pet hospital twice and paid money but not for what I’m requesting treatment for…I’m starting to think they’re ripping people off

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
