I was very pleased at the care my Sonny/cat received at Banfield hospital recently. Sonny is diabetic and has to be monitored/cared for in a timely manner which they’ve done. He’s better all because of the caring staff at Banfield.

Both vets my little girl has seen here in the past couple of weeks were excellent, and so were the vet techs. The senior wellness package is well worth the money, considering all you get with it and how important it is to keep up with bloodwork, health testing, and everything else when you have a senior furbaby. It definitely gives me a peace of mind getting all the tests done to ensure if she develops anything that it is caught early. I find the wellness package a better deal than pet insurance, considering there is usually a deductible of at least $500 when you have pet insurance. And premiums have skyrocketed in the past few years. I paid $2,000 in premiums in two years for her old pet insurance and never got any use out of it. The wellness package gives you discounts on services that are not part of the plan and also pays the office visit cost. I only spent $17 for her second visit but then asked them to take care of her anal glands. She had an issue that may or may not have been a reaction to her nasal Bordetella, but she is on the mend now regardless of what the cause was. The vet informed me during her wellness visit that it could cause mild nasal issues, but that if they didn’t go away in a few days to come back. They started a day or so after getting the vaccine and only got worse instead of better. If it were a reaction to the vaccine, it could have been partly due to her age. Or else it could’ve been something else entirely. She never really needed the Bordetella vaccine where we used to live, but in this state it is definitely a must. There are so many dogs compared to where we used to live. Which is a good thing, but it also comes with the risk of pups getting something from another pup. Especially for an older pup like her. It could have been that it was her first Bordetella vaccine in a really long time, since it has been years since she’s had one. Or it could have been something else entirely. She’s got more of a social life down here, so she definitely needs to be vaccinated against it. She’s on the mend, and that’s what counts. She’ll be able to see all her puppy friends soon enough, once whatever is going on with her clears up. She’s been taking her meds like a good girl, as long as I wrap them in cheese and get the cheese to melt a little for a second with my fingers into a little ball.

Dr. Piper and her team were amazing! They took great care of my frenchie tutu during his teeth extractions and were so kind and easy to talk to. You can tell they really care about the animals they treat. I’m super thankful for them!

Depending on which vet you get, the service can be good or bad. Went through twice times with three new kittens they could not figure out what was wrong with one of the kittens. She had a cough. Also signed up for the maintenance plan, when we realized it wasn’t worth the money. Tried to cancel several times, they send you to an 800 number where you get to speak to someone from India. The store will not cancel the maintenance plan. They refer you back to. The 800 number. They keep charging the credit card and not cancel the plan as requested. Had to call credit card company up and cancel my entire card. Still trying to cancel the service plan with Banfield. this is a total scam
