Please read this review and take this to heart before considering going to this place. My partner and I brought in our lethargic 5 year old cat to be told the vet (Dr Ravi) He told us our cat had yellow plasma, off the charts kidney and liver levels, was constipated, potentially had a mass in his abdomen, and diagnosed him with diabetes. He was very dismissive about the other problems with his bloodwork aside from the diabetes, to which he had us buy a special diabetic diet for him, buy insulin/needles, and told us that he *thinks* he has a UTI and prescribed antibiotics. I expressed concern over the other blood work and he instead to just bring him back in a MONTH and see if the diabetes is under control and that his other levels should go back down unless he has another underlying issue. The problem with this is, my cat had blood work done 10 months ago, and everything was okay. He was diagnosed with crystals and we got him on CD Hills special diet, and that was his only complication for his entire life. Our vet insisted we take him home and don’t rush into impatient unless he doesn’t get better… and for some reason the entire time he spoke to us he was only fixated on COST. He mentioned that it’s no rush to admit him overnight unless he gets worse because my partner and I are worried about the “cost” when we never stated that. He also mentioned that our cat had ketones in his urine at the VERY end of our conversation and acted like it was no big deal at all. We listened and took him home, gave him the insulin as directed, and of course he got worse, we took him to Blue Pearl and he passed that same night. Banfield had my baby for 5 HOURS and couldn’t figure out that he was in ORGAN FAILURE!! Instead they gave us false hope despite my partner and I asking numerous times for them to be realistic with us. He wasn’t constipated he has paralytic ileus because he was DYING. We are incredibly heartbroken and angry that we could’ve let him go sooner, when he was more comfortable and still cognizant. By the time we had to put him to sleep our baby wasn’t even there anymore 💔 he was completely disassociated. It’s not this vets fault that he died, but due to their neglect our baby suffered, and we couldn’t even say goodbye when he knew what was going on. I will never go here again, and I will make sure that everyone I know with any animals knows to never go here for ANY reason. I’d also like to mention that he was really insistent on us getting one of those “plans” to make his visit cheaper for us, but we genuinely believe now that the vet we saw was just money hungry, and knew that our cat was going to die anyway. Especially since he kept insisting that it was a “commitment” we needed to make regardless of what happened to our animal. Thankfully, $75 monthly is no skin off my back, but this isn’t true for other people as we are in one of the worst economic times in history. Please avoid this place and don’t make the same mistake we did.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
