- ALAnge LinaNov 9, 20251.0Went in for a bath and cut… came out with a whole new dog. From the beginning I told the staff my dog, Millie, has had a bad experience in the past at a PetSmart, and that she is very sensitive to the clippers near her feet and the sound of the dryer. The girls reassured me they will be gentle and patient with her— which they were, and I very much appreciated. However, they failed to tell me that they’ve clearly never cut a springer spaniel before. Her ears are completely shaved (she did have some mats in the back of her ear, but I’ve never had to shave the entire ear before, nor other groomers), they left hair sticking out on either sides of her, they left hair on the top of the head, and her fanny area was still not shaved low enough… When she asked if I wanted her to be cut more, I was in such shock I genuinely just wanted to leave. Not to mention, what used to cost me $60-70 is now well over $100. Extremely dissatisfied/disappointed, and now will take probably another year to grow my girls curls out again. Charged full price for the worst cut she’s ever had.

However, it was a higher price than I anticipated for a bath, nails, ears, and a trim. We like a short cut. When we got our dog back he had several cuts and his ears were overplucked, if that's possible. His nails weren't trimmed enough. This will be one and done for sus and Petco grooming.
