I had a very disappointing experience with an employee named Deja at this Petco location. Her demeanor toward clients was noticeably rude and inconsistent. She came across as moody, dismissive, and at times spoke down to customers in a way that felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. What stood out the most was the clear difference in how she treated people. While she appeared attentive and engaged when interacting with someone she seemed to know personally, she was dismissive and uninterested with other clients. It created an environment that felt unwelcoming and unequal. Additionally, I witnessed her encouraging a friend to leave a review, which raises concerns about the authenticity of feedback being collected. This, combined with her lack of professionalism toward other customers, reflects poorly on the overall experience. Customer service should be consistent, respectful, and fair to everyone—not selective based on personal relationships.

Very disappointing experience at the Seminole Vetco location. We have been bringing our large-breed dog here since she was a young puppy, but our most recent visit raised serious concerns about the quality of care, organization, and communication at this location. To start, the appointment felt very disorganized. Our dog’s records were not readily available, which delayed the visit. During intake, a vet tech questioned what they called “excessive weight gain,” even though our dog is a large breed puppy who has simply grown into her normal adult size and is not overweight. This was surprising and did not inspire confidence. During the exam, staff also did not appear equipped to handle large dogs. We brought her in for blood in her urine (a potentially serious issue like a UTI), and no one on staff was able to properly lift or position her for weighing or examination. My husband had to step in to hold our dog so they could complete the exam. A veterinary clinic should have trained staff capable of safely handling large animals without relying on the owners. We were told a urinalysis was needed and after the sample was collected we were sent home with almost no information. We were not told how long results would take, what type of test was being run, or when we should expect follow-up. After hearing nothing, we called multiple times and left voicemails that were never returned. Days later, after repeatedly calling, we were told results would take a full week because the specific vet we saw was out of the office. Meanwhile, other veterinarians were present who could have reviewed results. This delay should have been clearly communicated from the beginning. The situation became even more frustrating when the vet finally called and told us our dog has a bladder infection requiring antibiotics. However, they did not send the prescription to a pharmacy. Instead, we were told to go to a pharmacy and show them a PDF on our phone. That is not how prescriptions normally work — the vet must submit it. Because they failed to do this, we still cannot get our dog the medication she needs. At this point we paid for an exam and testing but have not received the level of care or follow-through expected. Between the disorganization, lack of communication, inability to handle large dogs, delays in results, and failure to properly issue a prescription, this experience was extremely frustrating. My dog is sick and needs medication that she isn’t able to receive because the vet can’t be bothered to properly submit a prescription.

We recently visited this Vetco location with our 1-year-old large breed dog, who has been seen here since we adopted her as a young puppy. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing and has made us question the quality of care and organization at this location. To start, the visit felt very disorganized. Our dog's records were not readily available in the system, which slowed down the process. During intake, a vet tech also questioned what they described as “excessive weight gain” over the past year. This was confusing and concerning because our dog is a large breed puppy who has simply grown into her normal adult size and is not overweight. It was surprising that normal growth in a large breed dog seemed to be misunderstood. When we finally saw the vet, another issue became apparent — the staff did not seem equipped to properly handle a large dog. We brought her in due to blood in her urine (a potentially serious issue like a UTI), and staff were unable to lift or properly position her to get an accurate weight or complete the exam. Thankfully my husband was present and able to lift and hold her so they could proceed. A veterinary office should have trained staff capable of safely handling and examining large dogs without relying on owners to do so. We were told a urinalysis was needed, and once the urine sample was collected we were sent home with almost no information. We were not told: How long results would take Whether it was a rapid test or culture What next steps might be When we should expect communication After several hours with no update, we called multiple times and left voicemails that were never returned. Days go by and we have not heard anything from the office, Eventually I had to repeatedly call until I finally reached someone, only to be told we were scheduled to receive results a full week later because the specific vet we saw was out of the office. This was extremely frustrating and concerning. Other veterinarians were present in the office and should have been able to review the results rather than delaying care while a sick dog waits. We had already paid for the exam and testing, so going elsewhere would have meant additional cost and stress for our already uncomfortable dog. If results were going to take a week, that should have been communicated clearly from the beginning. The lack of communication and failure to return calls were unacceptable, especially when dealing with a potentially painful medical issue. Overall, this was not a great experience. Between the disorganization, lack of large-dog handling capability, poor communication, and questionable clinical judgment during intake, it did not inspire confidence in the staff or the process. I hope this feedback helps improve organization, communication, and training at this location because pet owners trust you with important medical care.

I’m so grateful I found Dr. Dale and Jeff! They saw my dog Blu today for an ear infection and some allergy issues, and the whole experience was amazing. From the moment we walked in, they treated us like we were old friends and made both me and Blu feel completely comfortable. (And let me tell you Blu is a handful! Dr. Dale who is extremely knowledgeable, took the time to really listen and explain everything clearly, and you could tell she genuinely cares about animals. Jeff was just as kind and helpful — he was great with Blu while really cleaning out his ears, which he did right there in front of me, an didn’t bring Blu back into the back to clean his ears( which I really appreciate, because you can see all the work that is being done) and made the whole visit feel calm and stress-free. It’s such a relief to find a vet team that shows this much compassion and love for animals. Blu is already feeling better, and I’m so thankful for the care they gave him today. Highly recommend Dr. Dale and Jeff to anyone looking for a vet who truly treats your pet like family!

I highly recommend Dr Dale at Vetco! Myself and my 2 dogs feel very comfortable with her. She is knowledgeable, patient and her approach is in alignment with how we view our dogs, our fur babies. We trust her. The only reason I have not given Vetco 5 stars….there seems to be inconsistent views on animal health and care between practitioners. The advice I’ve gotten from the other vet here contradicts clinical recommendations from Dr Dale, suggestions and guidelines from online reputable sources (such how much to feed our dogs, how much they should weigh, and how often we should be flushing their ears). There is little engagement from the other doctor and at times, we have felt like a stop at a buffet line vs compassionate care from Dr Dale
