Warning to Pet Owners I am writing this review as a warning to other pet owners. I brought my 10-month-old kitten, Lucky, to the Seminole Petco veterinary clinic when he was very sick, and what happened was deeply upsetting and confusing. The technician EsMarie and assistant Liz who saw us told me it would be “cheaper somewhere else” and sent me to another hospital with a quote of around $2,400. When I arrived, the estimate was more than double that amount. Before I left Petco, staff Liz charged me for bloodwork, drew Lucky’s blood, and handed me the tube to take to the other clinic, which felt very unprofessional. The veterinarian seemed unaware that I had even been told to leave and asked who instructed me to go. This made me realize that there is no coordination or communication among the staff. I also asked to speak to a manager, but there was no manager on site, and despite being told I would receive a call, no one ever followed up. My kitten suffered through all this confusion, and he later passed away. I am devastated, and I truly do not want any other pet owner to experience what I went through. This clinic needs serious improvements in communication, oversight, and medical protocol. Please be cautious and ask questions before trusting your pet to this location.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Vetco. On Monday, I went to Vetco because my dog had an eye infection and needed antibiotics. They charged me $69.00 for a small bottle of Ofloxacin, which was shocking once I realized this exact same medication sells for $9–$13 from reputable retailers like Chewy, PetMeds, PetSmart, Amazon, Koala Health, HardyPaw, and Tractor Supply. I honestly thought it had to be a billing mistake — because how do you justify charging 6–8 times the normal retail price? But when I brought it up at my dog’s follow-up visit, they said, “We’re just a small pharmacy, we can’t compete with online prices.” That excuse is laughable coming from a chain with 1,200+ locations across 47 states. Small pharmacy? Please. If your logistics or pricing strategy is so poorly managed that you need to gouge your customers just to stay afloat, maybe rethink your business model. At the very least, buy the same medication from Amazon for $10 and sell it for $30 — but $69? That’s not just overpriced — that’s predatory and unethical. Because of this, I couldn’t afford to continue my dog’s follow-up care or book his surgery there. So, congratulations, Vetco — you made an extra $60 today and lost a $500–$700 surgery, plus every bit of my trust. Scamming customers over essential medication isn’t a sustainable business model, it’s low-class and dishonest. Vetco (and Petco, by extension) have permanently lost my business. I’ll be taking my pet’s care elsewhere — and I highly recommend others do the same. Zero stars if I could.

I made an appointment for my 2 for 5pm 10/15. I got to the office and was told it was closed due the vet feeling ill. No call so I wasted 20 mile round trip. Came back the next day and all I wanted is their nails trimmed because they are not good with groomers. Well, I was told that one of my dogs needed an examination - OK. After that I was shown the bill - $50 per dog for a nail trim. Yes $50. After I going through a bunch of emotions, I canceled the nail trim and left feeling abused because during the examination they spent the whole time trying to sell different things that I said no to , but they kept pushing. Overall, I felt used and angry. Not a good visit,
