It took a long time for me to come forward with this review. First of all, lets talk about the 'pet drop off' process. I had a senior cat with chronic kidney disease. They knew this. They neglected to tell me during their "drop off only" phase that my cat was going to sit in her carrier for 4-6 hours with no access to food, water, or litter. It took the 3rd drop off to figure out what was going on after she urinated herself in the carrier during her 2nd visit. I am fairly certain that this exasperated her CKD condition. Then, theres no way to cancel the membership when your cat passes away, which was not explained to me when I signed up. Next, I was shamed for looking into grain-free, more natural food options for my rescued siamese. I was shamed for wanting to cook for my cat because the vet insisted that I was going to make my cat incredibly ill with malnutrition. She insisted on doing a prescription diet, which continuously made her vomit and itch, no matter which rx brand I used. Come to find out they make profit off of selling the prescription food. If you love your pet, go to an independent vet and stay away from these corperate money-hungry wannabes.

Dr. Adam’s assistant, Darius took such great care of Kenai for his dental cleaning. They even created a personal AI photo of Kenai after asking us a few questions about our favorite movie, band and what Kenai likes to do (relax!). Really appreciate them taking good care of him and thank you especially to Dr. Adam and Darius for updating us so comprehensively and being very kind!

My dog has been on a premium wellness plan ever since I adopted her in 2017. We started visiting the banfield at University parkway in 2018, and I was a huge fan of Doctor Henry, who at that time was in charge of my dog's care. Staff has cycled out, and over the years I've noticed a decline in consistency and communication, but nothing grave enough to make me want to switch vets. Not until this past Saturday. On January 17th I brought my dog in to examine a mole I discovered on her mouth, and a puppy pedicure and anal gland expression while we were there. I won't go into the miscommunication between the vet, vet tech, and staff, or my treatment by the vet. Although my experience caused me to want to take my dog elsewhere for a second opinion, it was the pedicure that was the final straw. I noticed my dog was skittish and desperate to get out of the office when they brought her out to me, I also noticed she was leaving greasy paw prints on the floor. I was so overwhelmed and distracted by the other part of our visit that I didn't realize what the issue was until hours later at home when I got a better look at her nails. FIVE of my dog's nails were cut down to the quick, with evidence of bleeding and something applied to stop the bleeding. I was shocked and horrified to see that her nails were trimmed far too short, and were visibly painful. I understand animals are unpredictable and can wrestle away, I could excuse one nail cut too short, but FIVE across two paws is ridiculous. It demonstrates a complete absence of care. I paid upwards of $40 for a service trusting that animal medical professionals could perform it better than me, and instead I subjected my dog to a careless injury that the staff didn't even report to me. DO NOT bring your animal here for nail trims. They do not take the time or care necessary to prevent injury, and they don't let the owner know when a pet's nails have been cut too short. As for vaccines and routine checkups, I think this location is fine if you can't get to another, but I could not in good conscious recommend them. EDIT: you can see below Banfield commented saying that they would contact me, no one has. I've reached out to their customer service and filled out a survey and still have received no updates, no contact, not even an apology.

Banfield is convenient and the Staff is courteous and friendly. However, we have not made any progress on my pet's problem in excess of one year.
