My dog has had several thyroid and joint related issues, i felt like i was at my end point, other vets in the community were not helpful but when i came here the vets and vet techs were considerate, cordial, they took the time to walk me through thier optimal plans, cost and I felt supported. It's not always easy getting answers from the front desk but I appreciate that they have a bell to ring for service. My dog's health and inflammation had immensely improved, I look forward to our continued health plan and feel relief knowing I found a vet that cares.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience has been frustrating enough to share. We’ve now made the long drive here twice just to pick up our pet’s medication, only to find the office closed early both times. There doesn’t seem to be any consistency or communication around their hours.
On top of that, the vet tech appears to take lunch breaks arbitrarily, which makes timing anything nearly impossible. Overall, the clinic feels very disorganized and unprofessional. It’s incredibly disappointing, especially when you’re trying to take care of your pet and rely on a business to be dependable.

Wouldn’t trust this place with my pet rock let alone my Husky. Been to many other Banfields before where the staff was nice and helpful, but this was the complete opposite. Not friendly and could care less about us or our dog. He went in for a routine check up (we have taken him to other locations for the same thing many other times) but he came out drenched in rubbing alcohol and dewormer so bad that when he came into the room it was burning our eyes and nose. So we could only image how he felt since it was all over his face and chest. After talking to the staff about this, they could clearly care less. Wonder if any of them have ever had rubbing alcohol all over their face, eyes and mouth….

I normally never leave negative reviews or complain, but this experience was truly upsetting and I feel the need to warn other pet owners.
My husky had a 4:00 PM appointment at the Banfield location in Sarasota and was taken to the back. While he was back there, my husband and I could clearly hear him crying in distress, and we heard staff yelling “stop” at him. We could also hear other dogs crying and clearly in distress, which was very concerning.
I understand dogs can be nervous at the vet, especially since my dog had three shots and blood drawn, but you would expect veterinary staff to show patience and loving concern for scared animals, not raise their voices at them.
When he was brought back to us, he was soaking wet with rubbing alcohol and covered in deworming medication. The smell was extremely strong, and when he shook his body it splashed onto us. He was also hacking from the strong smell of rubbing alcohol all over him, which was very concerning.
We actually had to go to our car to get a towel and water to wipe him down ourselves because the smell of the rubbing alcohol was burning our nose and eyes. We could only imagine how our poor husky felt, since he was completely covered in it. There was so much on him that we could physically see it dripping off of him.
When I addressed the rubbing alcohol issue, I was told that he has a lot of fur so they had to use a lot and that it would dry. However, I felt like my concerns were brushed off and not taken seriously. Even now, three hours after being home, I can still smell the rubbing alcohol on him and ended up having to give him a bath because I was so concerned.
To make matters worse, a nurse walked into the room, said “here,” dropped the leash, and shut the door without explaining anything. We weren’t even told if the vet was coming back and had to leave the room to ask the receptionist.
I have been to Banfield locations before in Pennsylvania and always had great experiences, but this visit was so unprofessional and concerning that it completely broke my trust in Banfield. Because of this experience, I will no longer be using Banfield for my dog’s care.
I truly hope management takes this seriously, because the lack of compassion and communication toward both pets and owners was extremely concerning. I would never want anyone else’s pets to be treated this way.

Banfield is our go to! It’s not easy to trust just anyone with your fur baby. The care team is always great - we’ve been so many times.
The docs are always amazing… we have been explained everything from the care plan, what to expect and then of course the membership and cost. Always so crystal clear… they give me options and make sure I am comfortable. Dr Manu is extremely knowledgeable!!!! Vet tech staff is awesome - Garrett has always taken care of my pup and is wonderful.
