We recently rescued a 1 year old male chihuahua mix that we fell in love with. We knew when we rescued him that he was not potty trained, but realized he had other issues including reactivity with other dogs and people, that were way above our ability to overcome. We cannot thank the ACD team enough for their patience, communication and peace of mind in training us and our little guy, Mo. Emily, Hayley, Ali and Mark collectively sent us daily photos, videos and updates of Mo and his progress. They worked with us and Mo at length to help us understand his behavior and how we could correct it. They coordinate weekly dog walks at local parks with current dogs in training and graduates are invited to come along as well. I cannot recommend this team highly enough!

Thank you to Advance Canine Development from the bottom of our hearts. Mason our 3 year old Sheltie would bark, chase, pull constantly on his leash and do every thing else except listen to us! After three weeks of training (for both Mason and us), we can now walk with others (people and dogs) calmly. We have learned how to monitor his actions and keep him calm-which keeps us calm. He now comes when called, stays beside us when walking or just sitting or laying down when resting. And with help from ACD he can ride in the car without constant crying or trying to jump over the seats. We received daily videos and pictures of his training and even of his time playing! We had one on one training to know what to do when we brought him home. All staff are friendly and outgoing you can tell they enjoy being with the dogs. They continue to answer questions now that we are home and we can continue to join them at the Market walks to reinforce Mason and our training. We are so excited about the new Mason and have so much faith in ACD we will be bringing our other Sheltie in for training. They rate a 10 out of 10!

We visited Mark two weeks ago with our ten month old Labradoodle puppy. We were provided full evaluation of our puppy and access to the training facilities, meeting the staff and they provided a demo of expected outcomes of training for our 10 month old. Mark is upfront and honest about the needs of the dog and the family. A clear explanation of how the trainers will change behaviors and patterns of the dog to become a positive and better mannered pet with the family. Mark’s trainers clearly show and train the family the skills and attitudes necessary to resolve the issues that need to be corrected. We had Ali, Hayley and Emily as our team of trainers. They were more than effective, involved and obviously loving their work. They provide exceptional training, demos, and hands on practice in the community for family members to work with the dog. Mark’s entire team is Exceptional: to the dog and the family. I can’t say enough about our training for Duke and for Us (Mom & Dad). We needed it as much as Duke, maybe more. We are one happy family, walking the weekly farmers markets, dining out with Duke, greeting guests with more ease, and enjoying our puppy who now has respect and polite responses being around crowds, neighbors, and at family gatherings.

First day/night was tough. As parents to our 9 month old lab/doodle we had horrid separation anxiety. We survived the first night, barely, with much reassurance from Mark. The next day our decision was reinforced positively when the trainers began supplying feedback: text, pictures, and videos showing us the progress that our boy was already making and that he was doing ok and was happy. We looked forward to the multiple daily digital visual updates and were amazed how quickly Duke was learning. The team at ACD assessed our needs, worked their training magic on Duke, then focused on training us to give us the tools needed to continue to reinforce Duke’s good behavior and not bad habits. The entire team is remarkably responsive working together to help drain some of Duke’s energy, to prep him for training, to socialize him, to give us text responses to questions, pictures and videos several times daily, but we do want to give the trainers Emily, Hayley, and especially Ali a special shoutout. We appreciate all the time and dedication they devoted to our boy! But Ali!!! Her patient and consistent support not only working to train Duke but also building our skills and our confidence to also be able to train Duke has been a totally positive experience. We simply cannot say enough about Mark and the entire team at ACD! And….we know they will always be just a text away if we need more help.
