Horribel customer service! ALEJANDRA is the worst person to be in the front and talk to customers. Please somebody responsible for the location take action with her. She really needs to stay away from human and pets.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Banfield Pet Hospital. My dog was a Banfield patient for many years and received routine blood work every six months. In January 2026, I brought her in for pain and was repeatedly treated for a back issue. An ultrasound showed an enlarged liver, yet no clear diagnosis was made, and she was only given pain medication.
Her condition rapidly worsened. When I returned, a different veterinarian told me that my dog may have been misdiagnosed and that her symptoms were more consistent with possible stomach cancer, not a spinal problem. I was told that if she were their dog, they would consider humane euthanasia. My previous dog passed away. She suffered for 7 days.
I paid significant out-of-pocket costs despite having a long-term wellness plan, and I feel her condition was not properly identified despite years of preventive care and testing.
This experience was emotionally devastating. I trusted Banfield with my dog’s care and expected better communication, diagnosis, and guidance during a critical time.
In addition, it has been extremely difficult to cancel the Optimum Wellness Plan even after my dog was euthanized. There was no clear notification of renewal, no updated contract provided, and I was told I must either pay a large lump sum or continue monthly payments until the renewal period ends, even for a deceased pet.
My son recently received a copy of a 2022 contract under his name containing my signature, which I must have provided on a keypad during a visit without being clearly informed I was signing or renewing a contract.
The staff and veterinarians were friendly and compassionate. However, clients should be clearly informed of what they are signing on the keypad. I believed I was signing authorization for care and confirming who was dropping off the pet, not signing or renewing a long ter contract.

I absolutely can not thank this team at Banfield Oviedo enough for how amazing they have been with my fur babies. I call Ricky, Mecca, and Dr. Jackie the Dream Team for a reason. Honestly, our fur babies are our family and you want them treated with the utmost care and love and they do just that. They are compassionate, honest, transparent, and helpful during challenging health issues. Dr. Jackie is knowledgeable, attentive to detail, a skilled surgeon, and gives you her honest feedback about what course of action she feels would be best for your pet. She saved our fur baby Central years ago and when his time had come to put him down, the team was comforting and understanding during one of the most difficult decisions of our lives. I truly feel that they loved him as much as we did. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for our little loved ones. I couldn’t ask for better care.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
