- RMRachel MeadeNov 11, 20231.0I got my dog an appointment less than a year ago for vaccines and a wellness exam. I was told I could call and request a script for my preventative medication for my dog (Bravecto) when I ran out if less than a year. They gave me one box of Bravecto when I left that day. When I called to ask for refills, they told me I’d have to come in for another exam. Every other vet I’ve ever been to can refill preventative scripts for a year after they’ve seen the pet and don’t require the owners to take time off work and come back in for wellness exams multiple times a year.
