We have been clients at this very for 7 years but today was the end for us. I took our dog in at 8:45am for an acute injury/illness. At noon, I called to check on him and he had still not even been seen by a vet. Then the tech calls about an hour later wanting to do an xray for $1000 and labs for $240. These people are tone def to the craziness of those prices. I can pay out of pocket for an x ray for myself for less than that. The care has gone downhill over the past 2 years and the doctors your pet sees are not consistent. Everyone seems stressed and staffing appears to be an issue. Such a shame!

I made sure to ask for pricing through the phone before even making the appointment. When I got there and only after spending the first 20 minutes of my visit upselling me the senior pet plan they have (to the point I had to interrupt them and again ask for them to check my poor cat) then they tell me the price is actually 400$+ of what they originally said through the phone, JUST for diagnosis and not counting any extra charges they might have. They are liars and they will say whatever to get you to go there. Avoid this veterinary chain !!

Very kind team all around! Always helpful and accommodating when needing appointments, and telling me what’s included in my little one’s wellness plan so she stays as healthy as possible, and we get the most bang for our buck 😁

The vet care was great but good luck getting an appt when your pet is really sick. If I waited until the first available opening my pet would have died. I cancelled all 4 Banfield policies after that and am very happy in my new vet office where if they need to be seen the same day the vet makes the time to do so.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
