Super friendly staff, very clean and organized rooms, and they communicated well, offered options, and listened to concerns. They are very easy to communicate with and offer multiple options, as well as helping figure out which treatments to try first. I will be bringing my cat back here for as long as they are around :)

Not a trustworthy practice. Very disappointing and heartbreaking experience. My cat had a large open wound that needed to be stitched closed. After two different vet consultations, both referred us here thinking that a dermatologist would do so. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Instead of informing us from the beginning that she was not going to stitch the wound shut, Dr. Bartlett led us down the road of expensive skin, food, and environmental allergy diagnostics, followed by a recommendation for an experimental alternative skin treatment called Phovia Fluorescent Light Therapy. The "therapy" required weekly or biweekly visits in which a gel was applied to the open wound area followed by the application of the Phovia Fluorescent Light device. Trusting that we were in the hands of a true skin expert, we consented to Dr. Bartlett's recommendation and began Phovia treatment. After 3 weeks, our cat's open wound had gotten worse, not better. It was growing, not closing, and was getting more infected. When asked if this was the appropriate treatment, Dr. Bartlett advised us that results required time. We consented to a few more weeks of treatment, but after two more visits and zero improvement, we pressed for an answer again. Dr. Bartlett responded by telling us that they had also noticed that the treatment was not leading to the desired results. We were not provided a way forward, and prompted her for the next course of action. Dr. Bartlett suggested a $1,200 biopsy be taken from the area to try to determine the cause of the wound and the nature of the infection. We asked if this $1,200 biopsy would close the wound and repair the open skin. Dr. Bartlett said it would not and to do so, we would need to go to an animal hospital and likely spend upwards of $3,000 on a surgical procedure. We went out and found a vet who said she would stitch the wound up. We took our cat in and after a few weeks of care and reduced activity while the stitching healed, our cat's wound was closed and she was back to normal. All in, it cost about $200 for the procedure and the follow-ups. The procedure itself cost about $130. This was a disastrous experience for us. Not only did we sink hundreds of dollars into ineffective treatment and protocols, we sacrificed crucial time when our cat's wound could have been stitched shut and avoided infection. Dr. Bartlett's lack of clarity and forthcoming from the start was deeply troubling and not something we would wish on any other pet owners. We hope you find success in treating your pet's issues and receive appropriate care much quicker than we did. That may come at Animal Friends Dermatology from Dr. Bartlett, but after our experience, we would not recommend you risk your precious time and money here.
