I adopted a quite abused amstaff/pointer/mix named Lady, and she turned a year old in February. Lady doesn’t trust unfamiliar people or environments long enough to be trained. I was doubtful this would work, to be truthful. Georgia, the dog trainer is so gifted! At the first session I was astonished at how well she was able to relate and “talk” with Lady on her level. Lady responded and wanted to come play with Georgia and trust her, but hesitated and pulled back under my chair. Each session was better and better. By graduation she wasn’t perfect, but for her, she had grown by leaps and bounds! Each week when I told her we were going to see Mrs. Georgia for class, her ears perked up. When we got there, she didn’t just wag her tail, she wagged her hips!
Lady learned a lot, got the attention and praise she craves, and we continue to work on these at home with her. Georgia also taught me a lot about dogs in general, like care, bathing, healthy food, proper and correct equipment such as halters, collars, and leashes. Lady is my first dog ever, as I was never allowed to have one growing up. This was a pretty new experience and Georgia taught me so much more than the vet, or the misleading garbage I found on Google, lol…. The Petco dog training/trainer is something to check out! And the price cannot be beat!! I’m so glad we went! We will definitely be back for more after Lady gets these skills solidified a bit more. Extremely satisfied and grateful customer!!
