I’ve been seeing Dr. Barreto since my dog became very sick, and he has been more helpful than most ERs I’ve taken her to. He is incredibly compassionate, takes his time, and truly makes sure I understand what’s going on every step of the way.
So many vets feel like they’re just running a business, but Dr. Barreto genuinely cares about his patients and their families. He has made such a difference for us during a really stressful time. I truly wish more doctors were like him. If you come here, make sure you see Dr. Barreto.

I had a very disappointing and heartbreaking experience at this Banfield location in Miramar. I came in urgently because my dog was suffering, and instead of compassion or support, the person at the front desk was extremely cold, unhelpful, and completely lacking in empathy.
When you walk into a veterinary clinic with a pet in distress, the minimum expectation is human understanding — unfortunately, that was not offered here. The attitude felt desensitized and almost dismissive, which only added more stress to an already painful situation.
If I had to choose again, I would go to any other Banfield location except this one. The human element here was missing entirely: zero compassion, zero understanding, zero empathy. Our pets deserve better, and so do the people who love them.

I made an appointment for my baby girl she got uti so it’s kinda urgent for us. So I made an appointment at 12:30. I got voicemail from this place at 12:03 and I couldn’t pick up because I was getting ready for this appointment. So I called them back and lady said oh you can come and drop off your dog that’s only available now because doctor is surgery now. I was like no we won’t do it because I know my dog will be in kennel for a long time. Also why did you call me before 30 minutes appointment. You guys should have called me at least 1 hour. So I told them but suddenly she didn’t say anything lol I don’t know what’s going on but I won’t go or book this place anymore.
